"And why did you call for me?" Jeremy questioned as he took a seat, glancing around the restaurant before his gaze returned to Lux. "What do you want from me now?"
"You look terrible," Lux commented, his gaze focused on the dark eye bag living rent-free beneath Jeremy's eyes.
"You don't say." Jeremy took Lux's drink and gulped it all down, then returned the empty glass. "I've been up all night, trying to get those little pests to talk. They're so loyal it's starting to annoy me already." Then he huffed. "You're lucky you don't have to suffer like me. You get to keep Delfina safe, get eight hours of sleep a day, hang out with people, and not get stuck in a dark room for hours, trying to get information out of people. So lucky."
A waiter arrived and handed Jeremy the menu.
"Is it the usual, Jeremy?"
"You already know that so why are you still asking me?"
Lux glanced at the waiter who looked perplexed for a second. "Someone seems grouchy today."
