Back on the roof, Quinn looked down at Fei on the ground.
Fei hadn't even had a chance to respond to Quinn's attack, it was over in an instant.
Quinn looked down at the now-Intermediate-Tier gauntlets in his hands.
These were definitely a big improvement.
Looking back down at Fei, he saw blood dripping down from his arms, and began to create a pool of blood.
Before Quinn had even realized it, his teeth had grown into fangs.
He slowly drifted over to Fei, and he could hear his heart beating faster.
The sweet fragrance was getting stronger, but Quinn didn't care about the blood on the floor.
He was more interested in the single vein that he could see pulsating on Fei's neck.
Quinn reached up on both sides of the mask, and flicked open the clamps.
The mask split open, and Quinn took it off, revealing his face.
Putting the mask on the floor next to him, he then lifted Fei slightly off the ground, and without even thinking about it, he sunk his fangs into Fei's neck.
Quinn continued to drink Fei's blood until a System message appeared.

As Quinn was enjoying the last few drops of blood, the sudden sound of the roof door being opened could be heard.
"So why did you want to meet me on the rooftop, again?" Loop asked, rubbing his head.
Hearing no response, he looked up.
He saw his friend covered in a pool of blood, and a boy with black, curly hair with glowing red eyes, his teeth sunk into Fei's neck.
Loop stood there for a moment, paralyzed by fear.
"You…You MONSTER!" Loop shouted. "Get off of him!"
Quinn grit his teeth, and put his mask back on.
Though, there probably wasn't any point.
Loop had seen his face, and he knew him from the Beast Weapons class.
Back inside the dorm room, Layla had stormed off with a huff, leaving Peter alone in the room.
He patiently waited for either Quinn, Vorden, or Tsukuru to return.
As he waited, he couldn't help but think back to Vorden's and Layla's interaction, and be confused with Vorden's action.
Even if Vorden was worried about Quinn, he saw no reason to attack Layla the second she opened the door.
While Peter was busy trying to process what had just happened, there was a knock at the door.
"Are they back already?" Peter asked himself, as he reached for the door.
As he opened it, he immediately tried shutting it.
But a hand reached out, grabbing the side of the door.
"Hmm…looks like he's not here." The boy muttered.
Peter recognized him instantly.
He was the second-year boy with the brown ponytail, Mono Black.
Peter didn't have a good feeling about this.
Not only that, Mono wasn't alone.
Standing behind him was another second-year.
One that Peter had recognized from when two second-years had grabbed Vorden from the canteen to take him to the assembly hall.
Mono's eyes bore into Peter.
"Well, since you're the only one here, you'll have to do." Mono replied, grabbing Peter by the scruff of his shirt.
"We have some plans, and I think you might be the perfect person to help us." He replied.
While it sounded like a request, Peter knew it wasn't.
Not only was Mono a second-year, but he was a whole five Ability Levels HIGHER than him.
He couldn't resist.
As Mono was pulling Peter through the door, he heard something.
Like the sound of flapping wings.
Looking down, he saw a humanoid, feminine shadow on the floor of the dorm.
Confused, he then looked up.
He saw something outside the window.
It was a red-haired girl, wearing a ragged, blue leotard and blue, feathered wings growing out of her arms, and bird-like talons growing out of her hands and feet.
Her wings flapped constantly, keeping her airborne.
Not only that, but she looked…off.
Like something was screaming at him that real creatures didn't look like that.
The girl narrowed her eyes at Mono.
Mono simply pulled Peter through the doorway, and shut the door.
This was Tsukuru's Harpie Summon.
While she had been scouring the sky above the school moments ago, something had told her to look through that window when she passed it.
She didn't know why her instincts told her to look through this particular dorm room window.
It was almost like a homing instinct to her.
As if she felt a deep sense of familiarity towards it.
And something was telling her that she should report what she saw and heard to Tsukuru.
The Harpie clicked her teeth.
"I don't have time right now." She muttered, as she flapped her wings to get a higher elevation.
She soon began soaring through the sky once again.
"My liege gave me a mission, and I must fulfill it."
In another room inside the dormitory, Brandon laid down on his bed, his bands behind his neck.
Suddenly, his stomach started grumbling.
He felt a sensation of hunger run through him.
Brandon brought his wrist where his wristwatch was located up to his face.
In the bottom-left corner, it showed his credit number.
Looking at the number "80" displayed, a wicked smirk appeared on Brandon's face.
It seemed that extorting credits from the lower-Levels was quite the…fruitful endeavor.
He got up off the bed, and grabbed his jacket.
Since he had so many credits to burn and he was feeling peckish, he figured he might as well pay a visit to the base's convenience store.
Meanwhile, outside, the sun was starting to set.
High in the air, the Harpie descended from her latest round in the air, perching herself on a high-rise building that overlooked the dorm building.
'That building…It appears to be the lodgings for the 'hatchlings' on this island.' The Harpie thought, as she looked down at the building. 'I have been searching for quite a while, and have yet to spot my quarry. Logic would dictate that means he MUST have retired here.'
A predatory smirk crept across her face.
'So rather than wasting my time flying laps, scanning the ground from above, if I just perch myself up HERE, I can spot him the SECOND he decides to leave.'
Five minutes later, the Harpie's smile widened, as she saw the door open, and her red-haired quarry walked out, a confident strut in his step.
The harpie began to flap her wings, and took off into the air from her perch.
She could dive down right now, could have snatched him up the second he walked out that door.
But she could see adults in strange outfits, as well as other students all around the building.
Something told the Harpie that if she did, it would make a scene, and even WORSE, it would cause problems for her liege.
So, rather than snatching him right away, the Harpie began to follow Brandon from above.
As Brandon walked behind a distance away from the dorm building, where it was darker, the Harpie's smirk widened.
'Perfect.' She thought as she dove down.
Meanwhile, with Brandon, he was walking through the base, smiling as he imagined all the food he was going to eat with his ill-gotten funds.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of flapping wings, and a large shadow overcast him. Confused, he looked up.
"Gah!" He let out a scream of fear, as he saw the Harpie diving down, her talons
extended.
She crashed into him, legs-first like a flying kick.
Brandon hit the ground, causing an audible crash.
Brandon coughed instinctively, as he felt the impact crack his ribs.
The Harpie then lifted up slightly back into the air, before gripping her talons around Brandon's shoulders, like a falcon capturing prey.
"You're coming with me." The Harpie sneered, as she began to fly back into the air, taking Brandon with her as an unwilling, and borderline-unconscious passenger.
She then began to fly back to the woods, where her liege was waiting for her inevitable return.
Back in the clearing, Tsukuru activated his Ability as he sat on the ground.
A low, electronic hum emitted from him, sounding similar to the sounds made by a TV. Soon, translucent pixels began to appear in his hand.
The pixels clustered together, into an oval shape.
There was a flash of light.
When it faded, he was holding a thick oval wrapped tightly in a yellowish, paper wrapper.
It had a large red "M" logo on the top.
Tsukuru handed it to Raten next to him, before activating it again, recreating the same thing for him.
Both Tsukuru and Raten pulled back the wrapping, revealing a large burger.
The burger had two patties, and three buns, with one in the middle, between the two patties.
The bottom patty had a square piece of cheese on it, while the top patty had pickles on top of it.
A light-tan sauce oozed from the sides.
Raten took a big bite out of it, and smirked.
"It's been forever since I had a good burger." He replied, as he scarfed it down like a starving child.
Shizuka looked back at them, and smirked.
"Keep that in mind when it turns your asshole into a drive-thru later." She replied with a mischievous tone.
The burger was from an old "fast-food" restaurant from the old world, and its food had a reputation of causing…stomach problems.
It was at that point that she heard a sound like flapping wings.
Her eyes narrowed, as she looked towards the source of the noise.
She smirked.
"Hey, Vorden!" She called, getting Raten's attention.
Like most people, she was unaware of the "situation" with the three Blade siblings.
"Our guest has arrived!"
