After defending himself against the first wave of Blood Swipes, Loop had thought Quinn was done.
But then, Quinn sent another wave of six Blood Swipes straight at him.
Eventually, his swords could no longer take being used to block the nonstop barrage, and had snapped.
While Loop was defending, Quinn used the opportunity to reuse his Blood Bank Skill to refill his HP.
A System message appeared.
[HP: 18/20.
Blood Bank: 50/100 ml]
Seeing Quinn continue to rush forward at him, and that his bone swords were broken, there was only one thing Loop could do.
He took in a deep breath, and held it.
As soon as Quinn was close enough, he blew out, and the bone spikes appeared all over his body once again.
However, Quinn wasn't slowing down, and continued to run straight at Loop, impaling himself with the bone spikes.
At the same time, he threw a punch out as hard as he could, sending Loop flying backwards.
Then, as a follow up, he shot out an even larger barrage of Blood Swipes.
He kept shooting them off, until a System message appeared.
[HP: 5/20. Skill Blood Bank has been automatically activated.
HP: 10/20.
Blood Bank: 40/100 ml.]
As each Blood Swipe reached Loop's body, he stood his ground, reinforcing his body with bones.
But eventually, he could no longer take any more punishment, and collapsed to the ground.
A System message appeared in front of Quinn.
[Opponent has been defeated. 50 Exp has been awarded. Exp: 130/400]
The fight had been tougher than Quinn had thought it would be.
The only reason he was able to be so reckless was because of his Blood Bank Skill.
Quinn hated to think how he would have fought if he had never received the Skill.
Quinn then looked back at Fei, who was still on the ground.
It seemed like after being bitten, his victims would remain unconscious for a while.
It was good for Quinn, as it meant he was able to feast on a new person.
His Blood Bank had been quite depleted during his fight, as he had been relying on it a little too heavily.
Quinn walked over to Loop, and removed his mask.
He looked down at the now-unconscious boy, and activated his Inspect Skill.

Quinn smirked.
O-type blood.
That meant another free Stat Point for him.
As Quinn looked at Loop's body, he noticed something…strange.
His current HP was at 10, yet his body was naturally being drawn to the blood.
Whenever his health was low, he would get hungrier.
That was a given, but something that also happened was that his top two teeth would also lengthen into fangs.
When they did, it made it easier for Quinn to pierce his victim's neck.
However, Loop was already bleeding, and Quinn was able to just drink from the open wound.
But this would only give him the free Stat Point from Loop's O-type blood.
He also needed a good supply to refill his Blood Bank.
Whenever he bit into his victim's neck, it felt as though he instinctively knew the best location, the spot that would allow him to drink as much blood as possible.
Quinn lifted Loop's body off of the ground.
Only a few inches were separating their faces.
"I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that I'm finding it easier to do this each time." He muttered.
He opened his mouth wide, showing off his teeth, and brought his mouth down towards Loop's neck.
As he finally bit into Loop, he felt a rush of blood enter his mouth, the blood tasting sweet.
A System message appeared.

Far away from the rooftop, back in the forest clearing, Shizuka watched as "Vorden" mercilessly beat Brandon in the clearing.
Raten had him held up by his hair, alternating between punching him in the face and the stomach.
Raten didn't hold back.
This boy had made Quinn bleed, so Raten was going to make him suffer for as long as possible.
Raten didn't pull any fancy moves.
There was no need to.
He simply punched every non-lethal part on his body, with Shizuka pointing out the best places to cause maximum pain.
Causing pain was something she not only understood, but excelled in.
It was her forte, her expertise.
Raten kept punching Brandon until he eventually passed out due to blood loss.
It was at that point that Shizuka and Raten walked towards the exit of the clearing.
"He dead?" Shizuka asked nonchalantly, adjusting her cap.
Raten smirked.
"No." Raten answered back, as he began to walk. "But by the time they find him after curfew, he will be."
Back on the rooftop, Quinn opened his Status Screen.

He momentarily considered placing his new Stat Point in Stamina, since it was seriously lagging behind.
But, then he realized that all the people who were considered "strong" in this day and age usually had a form of specialization, with them specializing in a specific area.
A jack of all trades was something too weak for the current world.
Not only that, but Quinn figured that he would grow more quickly if he specialized in either Strength of Agility.
It would be something that would allow him to carry on beating weak opponents.
Then, when he needed to, he could increase his Stamina Points at another time.
It wasn't like Quinn was going to be facing an army any time soon.
In the end, Quinn decided to stick to his original plan, and place the Stat Point in Agility.
On his Status screen, the number next to Agility increased from "14" to "15".
Dismissing the screen, Quinn stood on the rooftop, looking down at the bodies of Fei and Loop, wondering what he should do.
When he fought Fei, he was certain that he had acted fast enough.
Hopefully, Fei hadn't seen anything that could give him away.
Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for Loop.
As Quinn started to inspect Fei's body, he noticed that the bite marks on Fei's neck had already disappeared.
"The doctor said the same thing when it happened to Layla." Quinn muttered. "Perhaps it's a side-effect of my Ability?"
Quinn glanced to the side.
"Well, either way, that solves one problem." He replied, before turning to Loop. "Now, what do I do with you?"
Quinn had worn his new mask that covered his whole head and his Knight Gauntlets.
Like he and Tsukuru had agreed on, Quinn only used his Knight Gauntlets for these fights, with him using the Black-Horned Gauntlets whenever he was fighting in public.
However, there was still a chance that somebody could figure out that it was him.
After all, how many students in the school fought using gauntlets, who also had a grudge against these two?
Even Leo himself said that it "wasn't a person's first choice".
Although, Quinn wasn't really afraid of them figuring out his identity.
After all, the school didn't really care if Quinn beat them half to death.
Actions like this were commonplace in the academy.
Quinn also wasn't afraid of Loop telling people what he had seen.
Who would believe him?
In the history of Abilities, there was nothing like his Blood Swipe Skill.
And as the bite marks conveniently vanished in a relatively short amount of time, they would have no proof.
He would be treated like a madman.
While Quinn was in the middle of his thoughts, he was startled when he heard the door start to open again.
Hearing the door open, Quinn moved instantly at lightning speed, trying to flee the scene.
But he quickly stopped when he saw it was someone familiar opening the door.
Layla let out a sigh.
"There you are." She said with a smile.
She then looked down, and saw the two bodies on the floor.
"Quick, we have to get out of here!" She urged. "The guards will be here any minute."
Quinn nodded.
He quickly put his mask and the Knight Gauntlets back into his bag, swapping them out with his Basic-Tier Black-Horned Gauntlets.
As he put them on, he immediately felt the power difference between the two sets, his body suddenly feeling weaker.
'So this is the difference between using Basic-Tier equipment and Intermediate-Tierequipment.' Quinn thought.
Quinn then realized something.
He was in a bind.
He had taken too much time fighting Fei and Loop.
Especially Loop.
When a student was knocked out, the watch would begin sending out a "ping" signal, like an emergency beacon.
It would alert the school that they needed medical attention.
It was the reason that after Tsukuru's Haunted Knight had killed Riley, Tsukuru had taken off his watch, and had flung it to another location.
No one knew exactly how the watches worked, but they were somehow able to detect how much health someone had.
Rumor had it that it was an Original who had created the watches.
Quinn and Layla hastily ran down the stairs, as they could hear the sound of footsteps coming towards their location.
"Oh no!" Layla replied, a tremor of fear in her voice. "We can't go this way!"
