Chapter 179 - Sil vs. the Bloodsucker

As Quinn smelled the blood dripping down from Ian's hands, he started to growl and screech even louder. He opened his mouth, revealing two huge fangs. He then tried moving his forward, in an attempt to chomp down on Ian's fists.

But, activating by using all of his boosted strength from his Beast Gear, Ian tried pushing the Bloodsucker back, and actually managed to stop him, even if just a LITTLE.

Quinn lifted both of his legs off of the ground, and kicked Ian away.

Ian flew backwards, and crashed into a nearby wall. As Quinn saw Ian injured, he started to run towards him.

However, before he could reach Ian, a metal chair came flyingout and knocked Quinn back.

Vorden then quickly rushed over to Ian's side, and lifted him up off the ground.

Ian turned to Vorden, a smile on his face.

"Thanks, kid!" He replied.

"What was that?!" Vorden asked.

Ian narrowed his eyes.

"Dunno, I've never seen anything like that." Ian replied. "But it looks like a Humanoid Beast. I don't know much about them, except that they're said to be one of the strongest classifications of Beasts. Though this is my first time seeing one."

However, the metal chair didn't seem to keep Quinn down for long, as the smell of Ian's blood was too strong. It attracted Quinn like moths to a flame.

Soon, he got back up, and immediately started booking it towards the two of them.

Ian snapped his head over towards Vorden.

"Turn on your Light Crystal!" He yelled.

Vorden turned his head towards Ian, a look of confusion on his face.

"Huh?" He asked.

"Quick, the Light Crystal!" Ian repeated. "Turn it on!"

Instantly, the two of them both activated their Light Crystals.

The abrupt bright lightinstantly made Quinn come to a screeching halt, the light blinding him like a flash grenade. He covered his eyes, and started to back away.

"It worked!" Ian replied, excited. He then turned to Vorden.

"Looks like we figured out whatsmashed all those lights out!"

However, Ian was foolish for thinking that the light of the Light Crystals was enough to hold back a Crazed Bloodsucker from his prey.

Quinn didn't need his eyesight to know where the two of them were. The smell of Ian's bleeding knuckles was more than enough. From the stands, he started to rip out chairs, and proceeded to throw them at Ian and Vorden.

Luckily for the two of them, the chairs were made out of metal. This meant that both Ian and Vorden could repel them using Ian's Ability.

The chairs continued to be chucked at an incredible rate, as each one was ripped out of the stands. Then, Quinn decided to rush forward, his eyes closed.

As he got in close, Quinn began attacking the two blindly.

"How does it know where we are?!" Ian replied.

Meanwhile, within the dark space of Vorden's subconscious, Raten turned to Vorden.

"Hey, Vorden!" Raten replied. "Get out of there!"

Vorden turned back to face Raten behind the chair.

"What do you mean?!" He asked.

Hearing this, Raten narrowed his eyes, annoyed at Vorden.

"Can't you see?!" He asked. "That Beast is only attacking Ian! Something is attracting the Beast to him!"

Taking in Raten's words, Vorden decided to break away from Ian, and ran down to the arena floor. Just like Raten had said, Quinn was completely ignoring Vorden, as he continued to attack Ian.

Seeing this, Vorden narrowed his eyes.

"We've got to help him!" He replied, and turned back to Raten behind the chair. "Raten, switch places with me!"

Raten narrowed his eyes.

"No!" He said in a short, sharp tone.

"Raten!" Vorden yelled. "We could die!"

Raten let out an irritated huff, air puffing out of his nostrils.

"You had your chance to listen to me!" Raten replied like a petulant child. "It's time for you to learn your lesson! Get out of this one yourself, Vorden!"

Vorden grit his teeth in frustration.

It was then that the two of them heard footsteps from behind.

"I'll help you." Sil replied from behind them.

Vorden and Raten instantly stopped arguing, and looked back as Sil began approaching the chair.

Back in the real world, Ian and Quinn continued to fight.

Unfortunately for Ian, the only source of metal that he could control in the arena was the chairs, and it took him some time to attract those towards him. He had to rip them out of the stands, so he could use them as shields against Quinn's attacks.

However, every time Quinn would hit the chairs with his fists, it would completely tear through the chairs.

His attacks were too powerful. Quinn then leapt through the air with his fangs wide open.

Ian had no choice but to shove his forearm into Quinn's mouth, hoping to avoid a fatal blow. He screamed out in pain.

Instantly, a series of System messages appeared in front of Quinn, despite him not being coherent enough to read it.

[Blood is being consumed. 10/100 milliliters consumed.]

[14/100 milliliters consumed.]

Ian could feel Quinn sucking out his blood. He wanted to push Quinn off and hit him. But just like that time he had bitten Layla in the school library, Ian found himself under a paralytic effect as soon as Quinn's fangs had pierced his skin. Him being unable to move. It seemed that being bit by a Vampireparalyzed the body of the victim.

Another System message appeared.

[25/100 milliliters consumed.]

As Quinn was busy feasting on Ian's blood, he was unable to notice the sharp objectsflyingtowards him. Like a spear, a flying, metal object came out, and pierced Quinn's shoulder. The blow was fast and powerful, and it was enough to knock him off of Ian.

With Quinn no longer being Ian, the paralyzing effect from his bite was slowly starting to wear off. And as it did, Ian lifted himself off of the ground.

As he stood up, he looked around the room, trying to get a look at just what was going on.

In the center of the arena below, he saw that Vorden standing in the middle of the arena. The arena was dimly lit up around Vorden, due to the Light Crystal Vorden was still carrying. However, because Ian didn't know of Vorden's…uniquesituation, he didn't know that this wasn't Vorden.

This was Sil.

"I just want to find my pet, Quinn!" Sil replied.

Surrounding Sil, there were multiple chairs that he had taken from the surrounding arena.

Ian stared at Sil, wide-eyed.

"How is he able to use my Ability so well already?!" Ian gasped, dumbfounded. "Even I would struggle to do something like that. And that's when I was in top condition! Didn't he only copy my Ability a little while ago?!"

As Quinn started to lift himself off of the ground, he pulled the metal object that had been lodged into his shoulder out, and dropped it on the floor.

A System message appeared in front of him.

[-5 HP. HP: 20/25]

"Rakkkk!" Quinn snarled, his attention now fully focused on the one who had caused him pain.

Sil.

Instead of going straight for an attack and charging in, Quinn dug his claws into the wall, and began to climb upwards.

"How are we meant to see it now?!" Vorden asked from his spot behind Sil to his left, with Raten behind Sil on his right. "It's too dark, and that Beast can attack from anywhere!"

Sil narrowed his eyes.

"I have no time to play games." He replied in a tone of finality. Sil lifted up his hands, and started to crumble up each chair, into several metal spikes, each one looming over his head. Then, he waited.

Quinn jumped down from above.

And as soon as Sil could both see and hear him, he immediately repelled the spikes, launching them in that direction.

As Quinn fell down towards Sil, and the first spike came towards him, he spun around andgrabbed the spike. Quinn then threw the metal spike back at Sil with incredible speed.

But Sil had prepared for this. He had already gathered up a pile of metal chairs from the surrounding area, and had smushed them together into the form of a shield. He placed this shield onto the ground so he could easily pick it up when needed. As the spike came flying towards him, Sil lifted up the metal shield to block it.

However, Sil didn't expect that attack to be so powerful. Despite Sil blocking the spike with the shield, the spike still managed to pierce it. And the shield was at least six inches thick of metal from all the chairs smushed together.
