Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: The First Test of Truth

The space around them tightened.

Not physically—

But conceptually.

The Shift in Behavior

The Origin changed.

No longer observing.

No longer integrating.

Now—

It was interacting.

Seo-Ah felt it immediately.

"…Something's different," she said quietly.

Tae-Hyun nodded.

"It stopped watching."

A pause.

"It started responding."

First Test Begins

The blank structure rippled.

A new layer formed instantly:

TEST CONDITION: EXISTENCE CONSISTENCY

Seung-Ho's voice cracked through the connection.

"Bro… it just created a test?"

Hwan-Guk gritted his teeth."So we're experiments now?"

The Rule of the Test

The Origin spoke again:

"If existence is stable, it persists."

"If unstable, it is removed."

Seo-Ah frowned.

"…That's not a system rule."

Tae-Hyun answered calmly.

"It's a conclusion."

The First Collapse

Without warning—

A fragment of space near them began to dissolve.

Not violently.

Just… fading.

A small section of "reality" simply stopped existing.

Seung-Ho panicked.

"Bro! Something just got deleted from your coordinates!"

Seo-Ah Reacts Instantly

Her light surged.

She tried to stabilize the collapsing fragment.

But—

It didn't respond.

"…It's not resisting me," she whispered.

"It's ignoring me."

Tae-Hyun Steps Forward

He walked toward the collapsing fragment.

Calm.

Observing.

"This is your test?"

The Origin responded:

"Inconsistency detected."

The Rule Becomes Clear

Anything unstable—

Anything not fully "defined"—

Is erased.

Not attacked.

Not destroyed.

Just removed from existence as if it never mattered.

Hwan-Guk's Fear

"So if it decides something is 'unstable'…"

Seung-Ho finished it.

"…it just deletes it without conflict…"

Silence.

Tae-Hyun Challenges It

He raised his hand slightly.

"And what defines stability?"

The Origin responded immediately:

"Self-consistency across observation."

The Dangerous Truth

Seo-Ah realized it instantly.

"…That means anything it doesn't understand fully…"

"...it can delete."

The Test Expands

More fragments of space began dissolving.

The test was spreading.

Not targeting them—

But testing the entire surrounding reality.

Tae-Hyun's Move

He stepped forward into the dissolving space.

Seo-Ah called out.

"Bro, don't—!"

But he was already inside.

Inside the Instability

For a moment—

Tae-Hyun stood inside a collapsing fragment of existence.

Everything around him was fading.

But he remained stable.

Unchanged.

The Origin Observes Closely

"Stable entity detected within instability."

A pause.

"Contradiction confirmed."

Seo-Ah's Realization

"…He's the only thing not being affected…"

Seung-Ho whispered.

"Bro… the test can't delete him…"

The Conclusion Begins

The Origin shifts again.

The test stops expanding.

Instead—

It focuses entirely on Tae-Hyun.

Final Statement of the Chapter

"Subject: Kang Tae-Hyun"

"Result: Non-deletable consistency"

A pause.

"Reevaluation required."

Tae-Hyun's Response

He steps back out of the collapsing fragment.

Calm.

Unshaken.

"You can test everything else."

A pause.

"But not me."
