"The key! Give me the key!" Lyra demanded, taking a few steps closer, emboldened by the weight of the gun in her hand.
Instead of the fear Lyra expected, Elara only settled further into the cushions, relaxing even as Lyra threatened her life. The sight of her indifference made Lyra's hand shake. She eyed the key card in Elara's hand desperately.
"I can open it for you," Elara offered nonchalantly.
"No! Give it to me!" Lyra shrieked, demanding she hand it over. However, Elara only looked at her as if she were a spectator watching an interesting play.
"Then take off the safety first, Lyra," Elara advised.
Lyra's hand shook all the more.
"Does this seem like a joke to you?!" Lyra exclaimed, tears streaming down her face as she pointed the shaky gun in Elara's direction. "If you don't give me the key, I'm going to shoot!"
"So shoot!" Elara encouraged her.
