Chapter 99 - HAPPY EASTER: EASTER SPECIAL CHAPTERS.

Easter arrived like a soft celebration wrapped in sunlight and laughter.

Not grand.

Not formal.

Just… warm.

Like a house remembering how to breathe.

At the heart of it all—

Ji-Ah's father's home.

Alive.

Bright.

And very, very purple.

Ji-Ah stepped out of her room, adjusting the ribbon on her light purple dress, the fabric swaying gently around her knees.

She paused.

Looked down.

Smoothed it once.

"…Okay," she muttered. "I look like a festive cupcake."

From the hallway—

Seo-Jun walked in wearing a purple shirt and jeans.

And somehow—

against all odds—

it worked.

Too well.

Ji-Ah blinked.

"…Why do you look good."

Seo-Jun glanced at himself.

"I always look good."

She squinted.

"Debatable."

He smirked.

In the living room—

Jeon-Seo was sprawled across the couch in an oversized t-shirt and shorts, completely ignoring the dress code.

"I'm festive in spirit," he declared lazily.

"No," Ji-Ah shot back, walking past him, "you're festive in laziness."

At the center—

their father stood proudly.

In a full white suit.

Crisp.

Clean.

Shining like he personally invented Easter.

Ji-Ah stopped mid-step.

"…Dad."

"Yes?"

"…Why do you look like you're attending a wedding."

He smiled.

"I am the event."

Seo-Jun choked on nothing.

In the kitchen—

Seo-Yeon moved with calm precision, sleeves rolled up, focused.

Ji-Ah joined her, tying an apron dramatically.

"Chef Ji-Ah has arrived."

Seo-Yeon didn't even look at her.

"Don't touch anything."

"Wow. Disrespect."

The doorbell rang.

Once.

Twice.

Then chaos began.

First in—

Min-Hyuk, holding a basket like he wasn't sure how he ended up with it.

Behind him—

Ha-Joon, dressed simply but still carrying that quiet, composed presence.

Ji-Ah peeked from the kitchen—

froze for half a second—

then disappeared again like she had seen something illegal.

Seo-Yeon smirked slightly.

"I saw that."

"I didn't do anything," Ji-Ah whispered aggressively.

Next—

Arisoo entered with effortless elegance—

and right beside her—

Nikki ran in like a tiny hurricane.

"EASTER!!"

He immediately grabbed Jeon-Seo's leg.

"Play with me."

"I just sat down—"

"NOW."

"…Okay."

And then—

the door opened again.

Do-Hyun and Nisa stepped in, travel bags still in hand.

"We made it!" Nisa beamed.

"From Thailand to this chaos," Do-Hyun added, looking around. "Worth it."

Ji-Ah ran out this time.

"YOU CAME BACK!"

Group hug.

Immediate.

Messy.

Perfect.

The house filled quickly.

Voices layered over voices.

Laughter bounced off walls.

Even the air felt fuller.

Dinner time.

The table was packed.

Food everywhere.

Colors.

Steam.

Hands reaching.

Ji-Ah sat between Seo-Jun and Nikki.

Ha-Joon sat across from her.

Which she absolutely did not notice.

At all.

"Eat," Seo-Yeon instructed.

Ji-Ah didn't need to be told twice.

"This is amazing," Min-Hyuk said, impressed.

"Of course it is," Ji-Ah said proudly. "I supervised."

Seo-Yeon didn't even look up.

"You chopped one onion and cried for ten minutes."

"THAT WAS EMOTIONAL SUPPORT."

Games started after.

Bad idea.

Great outcome.

Nikki insisted on an egg hunt indoors.

Chaos.

Immediate.

Jeon-Seo hid eggs in impossible places.

Seo-Jun judged everyone silently.

Ji-Ah accused him of cheating.

"I didn't even move."

"Exactly. Suspicious."

At one point—

Ji-Ah reached for an egg at the same time as—

Ha-Joon.

Their hands brushed.

Just slightly.

She froze.

Pulled back too quickly.

"Take it," she said.

He didn't.

"You found it."

"…I saw it first."

A small pause.

Then—

he placed it in her basket anyway.

And walked off.

Ji-Ah stared at the egg like it held secrets.

"…It's just an egg," she muttered.

It was not just an egg.

Later—

they all ended up back in the living room.

Tired.

Full.

Happy.

Nikki asleep against Arisoo.

Jeon-Seo half-asleep on the floor.

Do-Hyun and Nisa quietly talking.

Min-Hyuk and Seo-Yeon bickering softly about something unimportant.

Seo-Jun leaning back, watching everything like he was storing it for later.

Ji-Ah sat quietly for once.

Looking around.

At all of them.

This—

this felt real.

Warm.

Simple.

No fake stories.

No pressure.

Just people.

Then—

her eyes flickered.

To Ha-Joon.

He was already looking at her.

Of course.

She looked away immediately.

"…Happy Easter," she muttered under her breath.

And somehow—

even in the middle of everything messy and complicated—

it actually was.
