The small Rayquaza roared. Its cry was full of sadness and anger as it echoed through the sky.
Damian almost laughed. He thought the line about Groudon not being able to fly was ridiculous. How could the small Rayquaza actually say that out loud?
However, it did not matter. As long as the Shiny Mega Rayquaza arrived, everything would be fine.
Damian observed Black Kyurem. It was still chasing and attacking Primal Kyogre, and Primal Kyogre could only respond in a weak and clumsy way.
Primal Kyogre had a massive disadvantage against Black Kyurem. It lacked effective moves to use against its opponent.

However, Groudon had to admit that the elder Rayquaza was very intimidating.
Giovanni remained silent for a moment.
"Groudon, are you afraid?" Giovanni asked slowly. He smirked slightly.
"Do you think I am a coward who only bullies the weak?" Groudon asked. It became instantly annoyed.
"Kyogre once defeated a Shiny Mega Rayquaza before," Giovanni mentioned. He did not answer directly. It was unclear if he said it on purpose.
"Impossible!" the Non-Flyer argued back immediately.
"Just look at that big-headed fish. There is no way it could beat Rayquaza," Groudon said. It did not believe this at all. As an ancient Legendary Pokémon, it knew Mega Rayquaza too well.
Groudon and Primal Kyogre were equal in strength. However, Mega Rayquaza was much more powerful than both of them.
Did Primal Kyogre defeat a Mega Rayquaza? And a Shiny one?
Groudon would sooner believe that Rayquaza evolved from a Caterpie.
After it spoke, Groudon saw Giovanni's expression. He was smiling without saying a word. Groudon's eyes gradually widened.
Could it be true? The big-headed fish had told Groudon the same thing last time. Groudon hadn't believed it and thought the fish was just bragging.
"Really?" Groudon asked.
"I saw it with my own eyes," Giovanni replied.
Groudon's face turned red instantly. It felt very unhappy.
"How did it manage that?!" Groudon asked.
It wondered if the Shiny Mega Rayquaza was actually not that strong.
Suddenly, Groudon had an idea. What if that Shiny Mega Rayquaza was only slightly stronger than the small one?
After all, the Mega Rayquaza that defeated Groudon and Kyogre in the past was green, not Shiny.
"I understand. I completely understand now!" Groudon realized.
"Giovanni, observe closely. If that fish can do it, I can do it too!" Groudon declared. It raised its head proudly.
Whatever the big-headed fish could do, Groudon could do too!
"That Shiny Mega Rayquaza... I can defeat it too!" Groudon said.
Groudon was full of confidence after defeating the small Rayquaza.
It believed that Rayquaza was not impossible to defeat.
"Groudon, do not push yourself," Giovanni said. He was stunned.
He only wanted Groudon to stay and fight. He did not understand what the Pokémon had just realized.
"I am not pushing myself at all! Today, I am going to break my limits!" Groudon said. It was very confident.
Giovanni gave up on trying to stop it. He began thinking of ways to comfort Groudon later.
Lacunosa Town
"Why is it raining and snowing at the same time?" Hilda asked.
She stood by the window in a guest house. She observed the gloomy weather. Heavy rain was falling together with snowflakes.
The temperature became very low. Hilda hugged her arms tightly.
"Something feels wrong," she whispered.
She looked at the ground. There was a lot of water. Luckily, Lacunosa Town was on high ground. The water kept flowing out of the town.

"It seems that you two, Champion Alder, are only at this level," Colress said.
He had defeated Alder again and smiled faintly. He teased Alder and Wallace, who were tied together.
"Damn it!" Wallace yelled. He felt extremely frustrated.
He never imagined that a researcher could be this strong.
He wondered why such a strong person was only a researcher.
Earlier, Leon's Cinderace had tried to rescue Wallace after defending against Glaciate.
However, Colress's Mega Metagross returned. Cinderace had to give up the rescue.
"I did not expect this. I never thought I would see a day like this," Alder sighed.
He felt humiliated. The great Unova Champion was captured and tied up on the battlefield.
Colress felt bored because they did not respond. He looked back. Zinnia and Steven were fighting intensely. They were evenly matched, so he did not worry about them.
"It seems I was assigned the two weakest ones here," Colress muttered to himself.

Actually, the two of them could still fight.
They were only tied up and could not reach their Poké Balls. They still had other Pokémon ready to fight.
"Of course!" Wallace said confidently. He waited for Colress to join the other battle.
Alder looked at him with hope.
And then...
Wallace cleared his throat. He looked toward Cynthia in the distance.
"Cynthia! Save us!" Wallace screamed.
He used all his strength to call for help.
Alder was speechless.
This was the plan. Leon was fighting two opponents, so he could not help.
Steven's battle was stuck. Giovanni was too far away to hear.
Only Cynthia could help!
Cynthia had the advantage. She could afford to be distracted for a moment.
Cynthia heard the cry and looked back. She saw Wallace and Alder tied up in a row. She almost laughed. She froze instinctively.
Alder felt mortified. He wanted to hide from her gaze.
But at that moment, a loud and domineering roar came from the sky.
A long, black shadow streaked in from the distance, moving fast through the air.
"Oh my god! It's that Rayquaza!" Wallace shouted in surprise.
He was correct. He could never forget that scene.
The grey sky, the ruined city, and the wild wind made it look like the end of the world.
That Shiny Mega Rayquaza was the one who started it all.
"Rayquaza?" Alder asked. He frowned.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza roared.
Black Kyurem was chasing Primal Kyogre. It sensed something and stopped. It raised its head. Its violent eyes looked up into the sky.
A magnificent Shiny Mega Rayquaza arrived. It released a massive, heavy pressure. Those majestic eyes stared straight at Black Kyurem.
It was a Shiny Mega Rayquaza!
Black Kyurem's eyes flashed with anger. This newcomer was not friendly.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza observed the scene. Finally, it looked at Damian.
"Father!" the small Rayquaza cried.
It flew to the Shiny Mega Rayquaza's side. It looked very obedient.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza glanced at the smaller Rayquaza. Then, its dangerous eyes met Black Kyurem's gaze.
Rayquaza spoke to Damian through a mental link. "Human, what is going on here? How did you end up provoking Kyurem?" it asked in a deep voice.
"It wants to devour my Reshiram. So, I wanted to ask you to help me out, Rayquaza," Damian replied.
"Human, Kyurem is not easy to deal with," Rayquaza warned.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza was speechless. Last time it got involved, and now the human had moved to a new region and provoked Kyurem again.
Although the Shiny Mega Rayquaza was not afraid, Kyurem was a difficult opponent. Also, this Black Kyurem seemed much stronger than before.
Damian spoke with a smile. "Rayquaza, I have always believed that you are stronger than Kyurem. You wouldn't be afraid of it, right?" he asked.
"Besides, I've been babysitting your child for a while now," he added.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza glanced at him. "Don't try to provoke me, human," it said.
It knew Damian was using reverse psychology.
"By 'babysitting my child,' do you mean letting it shout for its life whenever it meets an opponent it can't handle?" Rayquaza asked.
At this point, even the Shiny Mega Rayquaza laughed.
Was this what he called babysitting?
Damian's smile was very calm. "Rayquaza, those words are a bit distant, don't you think? We are going to be partners in the future. I want to see your heroic figure in advance. And Kyurem is a very good specimen, right?" he said.
He would never admit he took the small Rayquaza because of its powerful parents.

"As you wish!" it told Damian.
The corners of Damian's mouth turned up.
Black Kyurem was not willing to look weak. It roared back at the Shiny Mega Rayquaza.
It did not care if the opponent was Rayquaza. Kyurem was the strongest Dragon-type Pokémon! It loved to fight other Dragon-type Pokémon!
The two top-tier Legendary Pokémon faced each other in the sky. A massive pressure filled the air, making people tremble with fear.
Giovanni's teasing voice echoed in Primal Groudon's mind. "The Shiny Mega Rayquaza is here, Groudon. Go up and challenge it," he said with a smile.
Groudon looked shocked.
