Chapter 93 - Chapter 93

Chapter 93

After the banquet.

When Crocus learned that Brook and the others were in the Florian Triangle, he immediately panicked.

"This… this can't be possible. Can they still be alive in there?"

At this moment, Crocus was doubting their survival rather than whether they could be found.

He knew about the thick fog in the Florian Triangle—ever since he learned of this place, he had rarely heard of anyone coming out alive. Now he finally understood why there had been no news from the Baren Pirates for so long.

In his heart, he already thought the Baren Pirates' members were most likely dead or in grave danger.

Crocus looked at Victor, opened his mouth, but ultimately said nothing.

"Don't worry. I think at least some of them are still alive."

Victor patted Crocus's shoulder to comfort him.

"Thank you, Captain."

Crocus understood everything—he could only say thanks.

A few days later, they arrived at the Florian Triangle.

Crocus looked at the fog ahead and felt very uneasy.

"Captain, how about we don't go in?"

Crocus was worried they might get lost inside too. If that happened, he would truly be a sinner.

"You all stay here and wait for me. I'll go in alone."

Victor planned to go in by himself—this way, there would definitely be no problems.

"Captain—"

Crocus immediately became anxious.

"Don't worry. Trust me—nothing will happen." "Heracles, look after the Plant Scholars."

Victor comforted Crocus again.

"Got it, Victor."

Heracles nodded, indicating no problem.

With a flash of lightning, Victor disappeared from the deck and plunged straight into the fog.

Crocus shouted "Captain!" excitedly. The crew gathered around to comfort Crocus.

Once inside the fog, Victor immediately spread his Mantra.

"Hm, not bad—I shouldn't get lost. Good thing I have Mantra; otherwise it'd be really hard to find anyone."

Victor tested it and felt confident. With his Rumble-Rumble Fruit's lightning speed, he should be able to locate Brook quickly.

In the fog, Brook was on the dilapidated ship, singing alone with his skeletal body. There was no one else on board—only piles of skeletons.

Brook could only watch the pirate flag flutter occasionally and walk around the ship again and again out of boredom. His singing voice spread outward from the ship.

In this dark environment, the sound felt especially long, eerie, and terrifying. But Brook had long grown accustomed to it—even numb.

"Sigh… I wonder how Laboon is doing now?"

Brook sighed again, thinking back to his childhood friend Laboon.

"Hey, is it really appropriate to be singing in a place like this?"

A voice suddenly spoke right beside Brook, scaring him half to death.

"Who? Who's there? Human or ghost?"

Brook retreated in fright.

"With your appearance, you're calling someone else a ghost?"

Victor suddenly appeared behind him—Brook immediately sensed the tall figure at his back.

"Kekeke… who exactly is it?"

Brook trembled as he slowly turned around—his bones practically sweating cold sweat.

When he clearly saw Victor's face, he immediately relaxed.

"Phew, phew… it's a human. You scared me to death."

Saying that, Brook breathed heavily and patted his chest repeatedly.

"Brook, do you want to get out of here?"

Victor asked with a smile.

"Yes, of course I want to get out. Sir, can you take me out?"

Brook immediately perked up and said eagerly.

"Here's the deal—I'm inviting you to join us and become one of our crew." "As long as you join us, I'll take you out." "How about it? Think it over?"

Victor said with a smile.

"Huh? Inviting me to join you? Is someone like me suitable?"

Brook didn't agree immediately—he was worried his appearance would scare people.

"Don't worry—I'm the Captain. If I say it's fine, it's fine."

Victor nodded.

"Then alright—I accept your invitation to join your pirate crew."

Brook agreed decisively. He was afraid that if he didn't agree now, he didn't know how much longer he'd have to wander alone in here.

"We are the Plant Scholars Pirates. I'm Victor, the Captain of the crew."

Victor continued.

"Understood, Captain."

Brook replied straightforwardly.

"And here's some good news—Crocus is also one of our members. He's the doctor on the Plant Scholars."

Victor looked at Brook and said with a smile.

"Really? That's fantastic! Quick, quick—take me out!"

Brook became extremely excited upon hearing this good news.

"Alright, let's go."

With that, Victor took Brook and instantly left the area.

Back on the Plant Scholars, Crocus was pacing back and forth on the deck, unable to stop worrying. It wasn't just worry about Victor—he was also worried whether anyone from the Baren Pirates was still alive.

"Don't worry—Victor won't run into trouble. Trust our Captain."

Heracles comforted Crocus again.

But looking at Crocus's state, it didn't seem to help much. As time passed, Crocus became more and more agitated. But they couldn't enter the fog—they could only anxiously wait outside.

Just then, a bolt of lightning arrived instantly—Victor appeared on the Plant Scholars' deck with Brook.

Brook was still dazed, his body swaying unsteadily.

Crocus saw the skeleton and his face instantly turned pale—he froze in place.

The other crew members were also startled—they didn't understand why the Captain had brought back a skeleton.

"Alright, Brook—stop swaying."

Victor ignored the others and shouted at Brook.

"Okay, okay—the speed was too fast. Let me catch my breath."

Brook said, quickly regaining his balance.

But upon hearing Brook speak, everyone was shocked again.

"A skeleton can talk? Isn't he dead?" "How is this possible? He can even move." "Is this some new kind of creature? Too weird."

In an instant, the recovered crew looked at Brook with extreme curiosity.

Crocus also snapped back to reality.

"Brook? This… is it really you?"

Crocus asked doubtfully.

"Crocus—it's really me. I'm Brook!"

Brook looked at Crocus in front of him and said excitedly.

But when he saw everyone's expressions, he immediately understood.

"Oh, I really am Brook. I ate the Revive-Revive Fruit, which gave me its ability." "After death, I can revive once."

Brook explained.

"So you've died once?"

Crocus asked in confusion.
