Chapter 161 - Chapter 161 Two Scammers!

Actually, when Shawn saw the first three rewards, he was already somewhat surprised.

He hadn't acquired a module for a long time, but this time he saw two at once.

The Iron Pickaxe is a tool specialized in mineral collection, sturdy, durable, and more efficient.

Ever since Shawn was able to forge iron and steel, he had always wanted to make one, but because the level of the "tool summary" magazine was not high enough, this idea had been put on hold.

He didn't expect it to appear along with the module this time.

Shawn wasn't short on 'repair tools'; with the pickaxe, the Stone Axe could finally honorably retire from mining.

It wasn't until he saw the last blueprint reward that Shawn's brain froze for a moment.

Admittedly, in "seven days to die," there are many underground passages with tightly closed valves, especially in 'military Camps,' but Shawn didn't expect such a special building to appear in his backpack in the form of a blueprint.

An underground fortress, ah~

If there were enough resources and time to build it, many difficulties that might be faced in the future would instantly become non-issues.

Three underground layers for soundproofing, and one surface layer as a trap to deal with survivors and Walkers.

If any short-sighted individuals came looking for trouble, they probably wouldn't even find the entrance to the fortress, only mistaking the surface layer for Shawn's main Camp.

Paired with the 'Territory Block,' the interior of the underground fortress would be impregnable.

Shawn carefully looked at the 'noise generator' on the surface layer; to put it simply, it was a modified horn taken from a car.

Whenever a horde of Walkers began to gather in densely populated areas, the noise generator would activate to attract Walkers to other areas, diverting the attention of the horde.

Similarly, once a crisis was encountered, these noise generators could also solve problems by inducing Walkers to gather.

In addition, two of the three layers of the underground castle were designated as provisional combat zones, equipped with devices including passage firewalls, electric fences, ground spikes, and load-bearing metal partition doors.

When enemies saw through the surface layer and entered the first basement level through the gate entrance, that would be the true beginning of the nightmare…

Thinking of this, Shawn couldn't help but take another breath.

"Goodness, this is a divine artifact."

Shawn carefully read to the end and caught a key phrase: 'ant nest.'

What is an 'ant nest' like?

Answer: Underground, with passages in all directions, clear main and secondary divisions, ingenious design, and well-arranged.

It continuously expands outwards from the main chamber where the 'queen ant' resides, until the size of the 'ant nest' can meet the survival needs of the ant colony population.

Each chamber is interconnected, forming a large tribal network that influences each other, sustaining life.

"If this could be spread out underground in the United States, which force could shake our position then?"

Shawn instantly realized the preciousness of this blueprint; it was his future, the future of the Prison members, and could also be the future of the United States.

This was a treasure from the future!

After calming down slightly, Shawn carefully placed the 'Underground Defensive Fortress' blueprint into his system backpack.

And he secretly resolved in his heart that he would absolutely not take it out again until the day he had sufficient construction resources.

If he had to use one word to describe it, then in Shawn's eyes, this blueprint was 'firewood.'

The 'firewood' of passing on the torch.

Once the plan is completed, it will even have a profound impact on humanity centuries later.

Shawn wiped away non-existent sweat from his cheeks: "Damn it, why did I suddenly raise the bar so high? I just want to lead Rick and the others to live better in this apocalypse."

But fortunately, Shawn deeply knew that this blueprint was a treasure of the future, difficult to realize with current conditions.

Composing himself, Shawn pushed the door open and winked at the Dixon Brothers, who had just pulled their short knives from a Walker's head.

"Let's go, we have the stuff, it's time to go back. Virginia is still waiting for us."

"What did you find?"

Merle leaned forward, winking at Shawn, his face full of curiosity.

Shawn just glanced at him and didn't speak.

Feeling Daryl also lightly pat him from behind without a trace, Merle chuckled and stopped pressing.

Merle was also an old-timer in the Camp, naturally knowing Shawn's way of doing things.

First, Shawn would not put everyone in danger.

Second, never question Shawn's thoughts and plans.

At least for the current Prison, these two are iron rules, and as long as Merle belongs to the Camp, he needs to obey them.

The three of them, familiar with the route, walked back the way they came, returning to where the car was parked in about half an hour.

But as soon as they reached the roadside, the three of them were dumbfounded.

The large fire truck had disappeared, leaving only tire marks on the ground.

When the three returned, Columbus and Tallahassee were entangled, rolling on the ground, exchanging punches.

"You bastard—"

Shawn's face instantly darkened by three shades; he went up and lifted Tallahassee, who was pressing on Columbus.

Tallahassee felt himself suddenly lighten, and turning his head slightly, he saw Shawn with a darkened face.

In front of Shawn, the tall and sturdy Tallahassee was like a raw recruit who had just joined the army, every part of him screaming immaturity.

"Where's the car?"

Shawn stretched his voice slightly, imposing without anger.

However, he wasn't asking Tallahassee, but holding him and turning to ask Columbus.

Columbus quickly got up from the ground, lightly brushed the dust from his clothes, and said sheepishly.

"Someone drove it away."

Hearing Columbus say this, Merle got anxious and went up, wanting to smash Columbus's head with his gun stock.

Playing well was one thing, but if Columbus messed things up, that was another matter entirely.

But as soon as he took two steps, he was stopped by Daryl again.

Daryl said in a deep voice: "Listen to Shawn's arrangements."

But if one looked closely, they would surely notice Daryl's finger was always lightly resting on the trigger.

Daryl was actually used to encountering many ill-intentioned survivors.

If Columbus and the other one were deliberately causing trouble, Daryl would not hesitate to use his arrows.

But as long as Shawn was here, Shawn was in charge.

In Daryl's eyes, Shawn was a good leader.

Shawn suppressed the urge to cut down both of them, put Tallahassee down, then lightly patted his forehead, smiling bitterly.

'How could I forget, this isn't the first time these two have had a car stolen from them; they're both unreliable. Why would I let them watch my car?'

Anyone who has seen the original plot understands.

Letting Columbus and Tallahassee watch the car was no different from giving the warehouse keys to a 'homeless person' on the streets of America; by morning, there would be nothing left.
