Chapter 55 - Chapter 7.5: The wrongful actions of regret

Within a few minutes we finally reached our destination; which was the library. At first, I made sure that Peter wasn't present on that day, or if he was I wouldn't let him get close to Aria.

I turned my gaze towards the familiar deck I have been watching; The accountant deck of the library. For some strange reason, Peter was absent on that day, and I also heard that people had been killed earlier this morning.

"Two people huh!" I murmured in silence.

Even the illusion magic protecting everyone, the enemy still can manipulate people through control. By manipulating their close friends or relatives, the person can now know their true personality. Lady Stella also said that; "Knowing a person's true personality is essential for the book to work."

Things may go in ways that I could not predict, even in the past I couldn't control events that happened around me. It is as if an all knowing-god has been watching and editing ourselves. Besides, things like the transcendent exist, the mylodians, the beings of chaos, and the world tree clones.

"Guys I think I go the another way," Aria said.

"Yeah me too," Alphia replied.

Okay, now I only have myself, let me use this opportunity to visit the grave yard Aria's father spoke off.

"Alright, I will be outside if anything happens," I said.

Shortly after we departed, I used my pure eyes to search for the closest grave yard near me.

3 kilometer away.

I exited the library and walked to that destination, I stretched out my hand and opened the door that led to the grave yard. As I entered, I instantly felt the uncomfortable silence in that yard.

Just as I turned, I felt the presence of nothingness. Nobody was around the grave yard except the man on a grave far from my side. He wore all black wear, his eyes were empty as space. He had green like Sera's and has the features of the were-beast tribe.

I stood there watching wondering what might happen if I just watched but did nothing.

"What are you doing here, you evil bastard!" Someone yelled out behind him.

"Get out now...!" Another yelled.

The atmosphere instantly turned cold. "Run and never come back here again," a girl yelled out.

The woman raised her hand ready to hit him. She used all her strength and readied her hand, as her hand came closer to his face. She felt hand getting blocked, in the last minutes I leaped into the air and grabbed her hand before she could slap him.

"I think hitting someone in an open space is against the law," I said calmly.

"Huh..."

"Who are you?" The girl asked.

"Rial Karasuki," I said.

"You don't have to worry about me, I deserve every word they are saying..."

"Naa, Come on, let's get out of here," I exclaimed.

With that I and the man left, the atmosphere was still cold but after we left things begun to calm down.

 ~~~~~~~~~~
It's hard to say the word "I am sorry". The regretful feeling sticking in your throat, cutting you as if you were meat. I, myself have felt the pain of losing someone with apologising. This eventually became the reason why I had to change, a mere child raising a child on his own. My heart ached from the pain, I never recovered. I dealt with the pain.
Because, I knew things most adults don't know. For, as long as I grew stronger, defeated my enemies and saved my loved ones, and would never know the feeling called regret.
But, as time went on something seemed to have shifted inside me. As I watched many people pass away, I wouldn't feel anything, all that I felt was the harsh reality: "Life isn't a game. It is a survival game of the strong, if it deems you worthless then you would certainly join your ancestors.
Due to this, I sealed every corner of my heart, I rejected that reality and tried to live a normal life in the city. During my childhood, I had seen my father being killed right in front of me. That was two years before mom and dad broke up, that sight alone changed the person known as: Riah Amakawa.
Explanation:
"So, what was all that about?" I asked the man.
"It is a long story!" He replied.
Looking at him, I saw the darkest face a person could make, it was as if the eyes in his eyes had been turned off completely. I took a look at his health with my pure eyes, and as I did that I was that his health was drastically failing.
"So, you wanna talk about your health, you do know that it is failing, right,"
With a sarcastic smile he said, "That is none of your business."
"Sure but you know very well that your family is worried about you," I said.
"I am aware of that, but I don't have to pay it any mind," he said.
"Tell me everything now," I said calmly. I stretched the 'now' to make it look more of a demand than a request.
"Ahh! Fine since you want, I will give you a full detailed explanation and don't try to feel pity for me, I know I deserve every horrible thing in my life," he said.
"Go now."
"Long away, my friend: Len was alive, we were best friends, some people even mistake us for siblings. Well, that was until on time he had to leave the Country for a while, on that day he entrusted his little sister to me. And, as you know, if you leave a boy and girl in the same room their desires over took them. That night, I thought I had broken our friendship over something that dumb, but luckily for me he was understanding..." he explained some of it, then he paused to release some emotions.
He stared at my face, unable to understand why I wasn't sharing a little bit of tears. As he watched me, I felt nothing just a random boy complaining about something went wrong.
"For a while we dated and some time later even got engaged, but those were the happy times. Because, a year later Len died the night before our engagement could be announced to the public," he explained one more time, but this time he seemed generally overwhelmed.
"Calm down... Now breathe slowly," I said.
"After the accident, Lin, the woman I was about to get engaged to, started hating with every atom in her body, she and her family completely despised me all because I would n't save a friend! Naturally, Len's death was a disaster, but they needed someone who they could vent their anger on, and I was the victim who got dragged into this!"
"Now I understand, the emotion you are witnessing is regret. Let me give one word of advice. Never lie to others if you want the same in return. People are all lairs, we lie to protect ourselves from the truth. But, the main problem is that almost all the time, that lie will come and punch us in the face," I said.
"Huh?" I wondered.
"All that I am trying to say is that, in life there are several journeys you will have to walk. And my advice is to keep the one that you feel you can do,"
The man began to cry more, "Let it all out," I said.
Despite reasoning with man, it seems that he needs more time to get back on his feet again. This is not the end of his story, I feel that more is supposed to happen.
Intervention:
The next morning Aishia woke me up.
"Zzzzzz! What wrong Aishia?" I asked her.
"There is something happening in the world right now," she replied.
"Can you explain further?" I asked.
"Remember when I said your friends were threatened by the other person using the death magic ball,"
"Yeah why?"
"For some strange reason, that time line has been erased, because the person using that artifact has been captured."
"Huh! How is that possible?" I asked.
"I don't know," Replied Aishia.
If I were to guess then god would be the being that comes to mind.
"But god is the one who did that," replied Aishia.
"I forgot you still read my mind. Anyway, why do you think it is not god who intervened?" I asked.
"Because, god just isn't that weak. If he was the one who intervened then the scale of the effect will be larger compared to this," she said.
"Yeah, you are right. Then, that must be the great heroes of peace 'the eight wise beings.' It was even stated in the history books that, "When the heroes are about to arrive in this world, there would be natural phenomena all around us."
"You are right, wait... Your eye, it has regained the rinne pure eye back."
From all around me, I could see everything, my power also returned to its fullest extent. But, I turned it off, this could cause some disaster if the elders found out, so for now I am keeping it a secret.
Looks like the heroes will be joining our world anytime soon.
