Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: Duelling Champion and… Potion Teacher

Time quickly passed in the Little Wizards' lively discussions, bringing them to Sunday.

After dinner, Harry and Hermione sat on the outer corridor of the Castle. This was where they had encountered the Troll. Along one side of the corridor were long benches for resting, and beyond that lay a verdant field.

In the field, a small patch of grass appeared stunted and withered… perhaps the soil there was affected by the Troll's blood from last year.

Hermione's face showed some anticipation for the Duelling Club.

She had always been worried about the duelling classes in her fourth and fifth years, feeling that she was only good at reading books.

But now, with the Duelling Club, perhaps she could get an earlier start on duelling practice. Then, in her fourth and fifth years, she would be able to handle things more easily.

On another note, whether it was the Troll incident last year or the Quirrell incident, she had been very worried.

The Troll incident, in particular, left a deep impression on her.

She would always remember the Troll's large club smashing down, and how she could only stand there foolishly, frozen in place.

It was utterly foolish.

In her heart, it was precisely this reason that led Harry to choose to go after Quirrell alone, without asking her for help…

One must know that the Troll incident was actually caused by Harry coming to find her… If Harry hadn't come, she might have died!

In other words, Harry saved her life, and the Quirrell incident… the feeling of being unable to help made her very uncomfortable.

Harry, however, didn't know what Hermione was thinking; he was just full of anticipation.

Duelling Club? I'm definitely joining!

Hmm… it feels like time is even more insufficient now.

As they thought, they saw Professor Flitwick descending from the West Tower. The two respectfully greeted him.

"Professor Flitwick, is it about to start?" Harry asked expectantly.

Professor Flitwick nodded: "Yes, we need to set up the Great Hall now."

With that, he walked towards the Great Hall, and Harry and Hermione followed closely behind.

Upon arriving at the Great Hall, they were surprised to find a large group of Little Wizards gathered in the corridors. Harry, through the gap Professor Flitwick opened in the crowd, saw a particular sight.

The long dining tables of the four houses had disappeared, and a wide stage had appeared along one wall. Hundreds of floating candles seemed much dimmer than usual, but surprisingly, this was only a visual perception; in reality, they could see everything clearly.

And precisely because of this, it created a sense of oppressive urgency.

At this moment, Howl was holding his wand, pointing it at the ceiling of the Great Hall.

"Professor Snape, what kind of weather do you think would be best?"

"Whatever!" Professor Snape said dryly. He was very displeased with the announcement. The notice to "bring a real duel" made him feel like a stage actor.

Although he didn't mind a duel, such an announcement indeed made him feel somewhat uncomfortable.

Howl didn't notice Professor Snape's peculiarity. The Professors' duelling demonstration segment had been decided during the opening feast.
