As for the rest, the stage was large, and under Hogwarts' Anti-Apparition wards, it was sufficient for a demonstration match.
Just as he was thinking, the two Professors had already approached each other. After bowing, they turned their backs to each other and walked seven steps apart.
After seven steps, they turned around, wands held vertically before their chests, gazing at each other.
Howl counted down for the children, his hand raised high.
"Three"
"Two"
"One"
The next moment, a bolt of lightning flashed across the sky.
"Diffindo—"
Short, rapid, a complete spell from Professor Flitwick's mouth sounded like a single syllable.
Even before the thunder in the Little Wizards' ears had dissipated, his spell was already complete!
He had always been an offensive duellist.
"Protego—"
Professor Snape was not to be outdone. As the spell, like lightning, rapidly approached, he sharply swung his wand.
A profound Shield Charm, besides being able to block spells, could also reflect them.
The spell shot back towards Professor Flitwick.
"Fiendfyre Shield—"
A circular fire shield appeared in front of Professor Flitwick, catching the deflected spell, and then he sharply spun his body.
The spell lurking above him was thus dodged.
"The Fiendfyre shield obscured the view—and Professor Flitwick dodged Professor Snape's attack relying on his extremely keen observation skills.
So why did Professor Flitwick use a Fiendfyre shield instead of another spell?!" Harry's eyes were fixed on the dodging figure on the arena.
He then saw Professor Flitwick's steps never falter, his body moving with strange yet harmonious footwork, twisting at the waist. The fire shield left a dazzling fiery trail in mid-air, transforming into a Dragon flying towards Professor Snape.
Professor Snape pointed his wand at the ground, then moved as if to overturn the entire earth.
"Flesh to Stone—"
A yellow dust storm appeared out of nowhere from the ground, sweeping towards the Dragon.
"That's it! That's it!!" Harry's eyes were fixed on the battle. Hermione beside him could feel Harry's excitement.
"What do you mean?!" Hermione anxiously asked Harry.
"Wizard battles are never just about spell-slinging! This is what I was looking for! Yes, this is the kind of battle—" Harry said seriously.
It was a regrettable fact that although Uncle Howl had told him long ago that Wizard battles shouldn't just be about blasting spells, he had never truly understood it deeply.
The reason was simple: because all the battles he had witnessed Uncle Howl in so far were simply too boring.
Because they were too strong, strong to the point of being boring, strong to the point of offering no room for learning!
Harry began to re-evaluate his previous battle with Lord Voldemort, two lines of thought constantly intertwining in his mind.
He didn't even realize that he was now effortlessly multitasking—in terms of combat!
On the stage, the effects of various spells intertwined, the Disillusionment Charm, Transfiguration, and other spell types constantly collided with intense force!
And amidst these spell effects, truly powerful offensive spells would suddenly appear, like lightning—
Finally, no one knew who cast the Fog Charm, beginning to obscure vision. The Little Wizards below, who had been watching tensely, could only rely on the flashing spell lights within the fog to guess the current state of the battle.
Suddenly, in the instant before anyone could react, two spells abruptly intertwined, causing a massive explosion—
The fog dispersed, and various exclamations arose.
Professor Flitwick's wand was pressed against Professor Snape's chin, and Professor Snape's wand was also aimed at Professor Flitwick.
On the arena, there was silence.
"Clap—clap, clap, clap—"
Someone started it, like lighting the fuse of a powder keg.
Instantly, the entire Great Hall erupted in thunderous applause loud enough for Dumbledore to hear on the eighth floor!!
Howl looked at the two Professors on the stage, expressing his heartfelt recognition and respect for their battle.
But then, meeting Professor Snape's aggressive gaze and Professor Flitwick's eager expression, he suddenly realized something.
These two Professors seemed to want to acknowledge him as well!
