Chapter 156 - Chapter 156 Howl withdrew his hand

"So, this creature actually exists?" Dumbledore changed the subject, watching Howl carve runes onto this… large-eyed plant.

"It doesn't exist." Howl shook his head, "This thing doesn't conform to biological logic.

But like I said, I didn't make it appear using the world's law 'template'; to be precise… it's an aberration I constructed using some violent means."

After speaking, Howl withdrew his hand, his left eye suddenly constricting to a pinpoint, successfully building a visual bridge.

"Human Transmutation is a branch of Biological Alchemy, and Biological Alchemy is a branch of Alchemy… so it's very reasonable that I can transfigure aberrant creatures that don't exist in reality, right?"

With that, Howl raised his hand and placed it on the large-eyed plant.

"Go!"

The air stirred, and the large-eyed plant vanished. Howl's left eye vision suddenly twisted, and a moment later, a dim light appeared.

He quickly looked around. This was the center of a long, dimly lit room.

On either side were many stone pillars carved with coiled and tangled serpents, towering to support the ceiling that dissolved into the darkness high above, casting long, eerie shadows throughout the room, which was filled with a mysterious green glow.

Looking down, a large serpent lay resting there, its tail twitching occasionally, thick blood flowing across the floor, finally reaching the edges of the pools on either side.

The large-eyed plant stumbled, falling to the ground.

Even if he used his past knowledge to deduce and transfigure such an illogical creature, it ultimately couldn't be maintained for too long.

The Basilisk raised its head warily, surveying its surroundings.

Howl paid no mind, continuing to observe his surroundings.

Behind the Basilisk, a giant statue appeared, an ancient, monkey-like face with a sparse, long beard that almost reached the hem of the Wizard's stone-carved robe.

At the same time, the Basilisk also keenly noticed the large-eyed plant, and its huge yellow eyes shone upon it.

In the underground classroom, Howl's body trembled!

Dumbledore's expression was serious, "Did you find anything?"

"I found… a man with a beard longer than yours!" Howl regained his composure.

??

Howl stood up, "Ever since I accidentally took an Avada two years ago, I've been much more careful with such high-intensity, soul-piercing attacks."

As he spoke, he placed his hand on Dumbledore's shoulder.

The two vanished—

In the Chamber of Secrets, the Basilisk cautiously flicked its tongue, sensing the pheromones of the large-eyed plant in the air.

Just then, the air twisted again, and two figures appeared.

Howl pointed at Salazar Slytherin's statue.

"I really didn't lie to you."

As he spoke, his eyes were already closed, his hands spread, and the magic in his hands was like a turbulent gale about to stir up monstrous waves.

But a moment later, it abruptly vanished.

"It just told Harry that its 'master' forced it to kill. You speak Parseltongue, so you handle it."

As he spoke, his figure quickly retreated—

Dumbledore turned his head, surprised by Howl's swift departure, and at the same time, the elder wand appeared in his hand.

"Obscuro—"

The unhurried incantation sounded, even mixed with a light tone.

From Dumbledore's center, thick mist quickly spread.

Howl raised his hand, feeling the magical clouds around him; they were pervasive, and at the same time—

"Interesting…"

Dumbledore had actually added a perception feedback logic chain to this spell, allowing him to monitor reality through the clouds' feedback on the real world.

This had a similar effect to how he pushed out the Wizards Hand as ripples, and then inversely constructed and detected reality through the reflected and rebounded ripples.

At the same time, he waved his wand around, and the serpentine stone carvings on the pillars on either side instantly came to life. Their bodies elongated, like manipulated ropes, instantly binding the Basilisk with the speed of lightning.

Two snake-ropes controlled the Basilisk's head, lifting it upwards.

Howl twitched his lips after hearing Dumbledore's hiss, then turned and left.

The Chamber of Secrets, he wanted to see what Salazar Slytherin had left in this room, specially set up with his own statue, what it was guarding.

Walking out of the Chamber of Secrets, he quickly arrived in a dimly lit corridor, where the air was filled with dampness, and the wet droplets on the surrounding walls reflected faint light.

In the moss on the ground, tiny insects crawled, intersected, and gnawed at each other.
