Chapter 79 - Chapter 78: Battles on Two Fronts

"What are your win probabilities now?"

Vic (in Venom form) twisted his hideous head, his white eyes narrowing into dangerous slits.

Intensive calculation sounds emanated from inside the mechanical body controlled by Dr. 077, finally producing a cold number.

"After real-time data analysis and tactical deduction, the win probability has dropped to 9.7%."

"Tsk, not even ten percent?"

Vic spread his hands exaggeratedly, his tone flippant.

"Then why are you still holding on here? Just pack it up and go home to your mama! Isn't it time for your tin can to go back to the factory for maintenance?"

The mechanical body fell into a brief silence, only the faint hum of its internal cooling system audible.

After a moment, Dr. 077's synthesized voice rang out again, this time carrying a trace of near-human, ignited paranoia.

"From a rational perspective, immediate retreat is indeed the optimal solution with minimal loss. But..."

Suddenly, jets of azure plasma erupted from the gaps in the mechanical body's armor. The thrusters on its back fully engaged, roaring deafeningly!

All weapon modules—shoulder-mounted micro-missile pods, arm-mounted pulse cannons, wrist-mounted high-speed chainswords—unlocked simultaneously, entering maximum combat readiness!

"Faced with a precious opportunity to potentially break through existing technological barriers and glimpse the mystery of the perfect union between biology and mechanics... For the possibility of higher-level human evolution that I pursue..."

The synthesized voice suddenly pitched up, carrying a desperate fanaticism.

"This probability of less than ten percent is worth betting everything on! I'm all in!"

BOOM—!

The ground beneath the mechanical body cracked. Its massive form turned into a silver lightning bolt, dragging a long tail of flame, charging resolutely toward Vic!

The shoulder missile pods fired first. Six micro high-explosive missiles trailed white smoke, covering a fan-shaped area!

"HA! You got guts!"

Vic laughed wildly. Instead of dodging, Venom's massive body hunched down, then launched itself like a cannonball to meet the charge head-on!

Simultaneously, the other five colorful figures moved!

Serum (Pearl White) moved like an elegant knight, side-stepping and sliding. His arms transformed into two smooth, curved shields, blocking precisely in front of Vic's flank.

Two missiles meant for Vic struck the shields! The explosive fire reflected off his lustrous pearl surface, leaving him unscathed.

Riot (Grey-Black) roared in excitement. His right arm instantly expanded and liquefied, condensing into a colossal black war hammer.

With a whistling shriek that tore the air, the hammer smashed viciously from an extremely tricky angle toward the mechanical body's knee joint connection! Sparks flew everywhere!

Carnage (Scarlet) was the wildest. He transformed directly into a red tornado, using super-high mobility to circle behind the machine.

Dozens of tentacles on his back turned into countless sharp red spikes, stabbing like a rainstorm toward the thrusters and energy conduits! The ear-piercing sound of metal scraping was tooth-aching.

Scorn (Silver-Grey) displayed extremely high tactical literacy. Instead of rushing into close combat, she stayed at a slight distance.

Her arms transformed into two peculiarly shaped bio-cannons, continuously spraying high-speed rotating, corrosive bone spikes, precisely harassing the mechanical body's optical sensors and weapon mounts.

Sleeper (Deep Blue) had the strangest movements. He didn't participate in direct attacks but silently merged into the shadows on the ground.

Wherever he passed, he left behind sticky, deep blue restrictive slime, severely impacting the mechanical body's movement and turning efficiency.

On the flank of the battlefield, the two "naked" Vics who had lost their symbiotes (Phage and Scream) weren't idle either.

Vic A (formerly Phage's host) knelt on one knee, holding a modified anti-materiel sniper rifle with a ridiculously long barrel, locking onto the mechanical head sensor through a thermal scope.

Every trigger pull was accompanied by a deafening roar and a blinding flash, forcing Dr. 077 to split his attention to evade.

Vic B (formerly Scream's host) was even wilder. Holding an Uzi submachine gun in each hand, he sprayed dense bullets while moving tactically, shouting loudly:

"Hey! Tin can! Taste this! Buy bullets, get chocolate-flavored coating free! Limited edition!"

---

On the other side of the battlefield.

"AWOOOO—!!!"

A deafening roar tore through the air! The five-meter-tall two-headed werewolf formed by the fusion of Enid and Scream charged violently toward Crackstone like a silver-and-black storm of destruction!

The left wolf head, belonging to Enid, had sharp eyes. Every sweep of her massive wolf claws carried earth-shattering power!

The strange corrosive vines covered in poison thorns that frantically drilled out of the ground were like fragile weeds before her sharp claws, cut and shredded in swathes!

The right wolf head, formed by the Scream symbiote in dark yellow, was even crazier. It opened a giant mouth full of sharp teeth, emitting not just a roar, but high-frequency oscillating sonic waves!

Crackstone waved his staff, trying to gather more nature magic—

Earth spikes protruding, mud pits sinking, paralyzing poison fog spreading...

However, in front of this two-headed werewolf combining absolute strength and sonic destruction, all obstacles were crushed in the rudest, most direct way possible!

Enid and Scream cooperated perfectly, forcibly carving out a straight, unobstructed charge path for Wednesday behind them!

The combination of Wednesday and Phage was the ultimate embodiment of precision and elegant death.

The purple-black gothic armor formed by Phage fit Wednesday's figure perfectly, setting her off like a Goddess of Death walking in the night.

Holding the slender rapier condensed from Phage's substance, she moved as agilely as a ghost, following closely behind the path cleared by the two-headed werewolf.

Occasionally, a fish would slip through the net—

A few sickly green energy balls shot by a desperate Crackstone tried to sneak attack from the flank.

Wednesday didn't even need to move much. With an extremely subtle turn of her wrist, the purple-black rapier drew a deadly arc, the tip tapping precisely on the core of the energy ball.

Pop! Pop! Pop!

The energy balls annihilated quietly like popped balloons, not even raising a ripple.

Her gaze remained that of the calmest hunter from beginning to end, piercing through the chaotic battlefield, locked deadly onto the heart heavily protected by dark energy beneath Crackstone's shriveled chest.

That look was colder and more lethal than Phage's rapier.

Crackstone was retreating steadily, a look bordering on panic appearing on his rotting face for the first time.

The nature magic he was famous for seemed so pale and powerless before this combination of savage and precise offense!

Under the wildly violent cover of Enid's two-headed werewolf form, the combination of Wednesday and Phage was like a ghostly silhouette in the night. With a few precise maneuvers, they had advanced to within ten meters of Crackstone.

"You damned outcasts! Why can't you just die obediently!"

Crackstone let out a desperate and crazy roar, his shriveled chest heaving violently.

The twisted staff in his hand burst with ominous ghostly green light. Regardless of the cost, he squeezed the last energy from his barely revived body, frantically releasing various nature spells like corrosive vines, earth spikes, and acid balls.

Overdrawing his power accelerated the decay of his already rotting body. His skin cracked and peeled like dried earth, revealing the black-purple necrotic tissue underneath, emitting an even stronger stench of the grave.

But he was already mad, wanting only to tear the Addams descendant before him to shreds.

"This distance is about right."

Wednesday's eyes held no ripples, only cold calculation and decision.

In the next instant, utilizing the characteristics of the Phage symbiote, her figure suddenly blurred, turning into a wisp of faint purple-black smoke, dissipating silently into the air as if she had never existed.

"?!"

Crackstone's cloudy pupils constricted violently. Before him remained only the two-headed werewolf still roaring and destroying his last magical barriers.

"Where is that Addams girl?! Where did she hide?!"

He looked around in panic, an extreme sense of crisis washing over him like ice water.

Just then, Goody Addams' spirit floated elegantly in mid-air. Her holy white dress formed a sharp contrast with the filth of the battlefield. With a tone of pity mixed with mockery, she spoke softly like a judge pronouncing a sentence:

"Victory and defeat have been decided, Joseph Crackstone."
