Chapter 51 - "Update: The Red-Hot Host."

Sam: "???"

"Robin! Get out here. What's going on?"

Robin sounded a little guilty. "Although the mission completion was excellent, there were unexpected incidents during the task. For the safety of members and smoother execution in the future, the Guild is undergoing an update."

"Oh right!" Sam slapped his forehead. "If you hadn't mentioned it, I almost forgot because of the rewards and lottery!"

"I need an explanation for what happened in the Douluo World."

"…I'm fixing it, okay?" Robin muttered weakly.

"The Guild is currently negotiating with the Douluo World. After the update is complete, you will receive an explanation—and compensation."

Compensation?

Sam nodded in satisfaction. Now that sounded more like it.

"System upgrade? What's going on?"

In the guild group chat, Wu Liuqi popped up first.

"Hey, hey, President, can you explain?"

Sam (Not Sam): "Exactly what it says."

Wu Liuqi: "…I feel like you're brushing me off."

I Am Not a Pet: "You're right. He is."

Eldest Princess of Arendelle: "Haha, Ah Qi got roasted again~"

Even though Sam instinctively teased Wu Liuqi, he still relayed Robin's explanation to everyone.

"So after the update, we'll get compensation?" Wu Liuqi immediately focused on the most important part.

Honestly, so did Kurama.

"Yes. It's still under negotiation."

Sam: "When it's done, everyone come to the guild together and see what the compensation is."

Wu Liuqi: "Okay."

Eldest Princess of Arendelle: "Okay."

I Am Not a Pet: "Mm."

Sam: "Kurama, you actually said something other than 'mm'? I'm shocked.jpg"

I Am Not a Pet: "…"

Kurama immediately logged off, clearly unwilling to continue the conversation.

After chatting a bit more, the upgrade timer hit zero. The guild forcibly logged everyone out.

Realizing he truly couldn't access the Guild anymore, Kurama clicked his tongue and began studying his Sharingan.

"Hm? What's going on?"

Suddenly, the sealed space trembled. Kurama stood up at once and peered outside through his jinchūriki.

"???"

"Wait. What the hell is this?!"

His jinchūriki had changed.

From Uzumaki Mito…

to that red-hot-tempered woman known as the "Red-Hot Habanero"—Uzumaki Kushina!

What the hell? My own home changed and I didn't even notice?!

After silently cursing himself for letting his guard down, Kurama frowned.

The group standing opposite Konoha Village was strong.

Very strong.

Even with a portion of Konoha's jōnin and most of its chūnin gathered there, the people on the other side looked completely relaxed. Not a hint of tension.

"Hah. These natives are really rolling out the red carpet for us," said a long-haired man with an arrogant grin, openly sneering at the Konoha ninja.

"Be careful," a female ninja warned. "The Naruto world doesn't seem simple. We don't have much intel, but the fact that this is an A+ mission says enough."

"So what if it's A+? Haven't we cleared plenty of those?" the arrogant man scoffed.

"…"

Talking to someone like him was pointless.

Self-righteous idiots were the worst.

No sense of respect at all.

When the time comes, he probably won't even know how he died.

"What are you people?"

The leader of Konoha, the so-called "strongest Hokage in history," Hiruzen Sarutobi, arrived in a blur of movement. He fixed the four intruders with a wary stare.

"What's your purpose in coming to Konoha?"

One of the women couldn't hold it in anymore. "Every time I hear that line, I just have to ask. What kind of villain would spell out their evil plan the moment you ask?"

She rolled her eyes. "And even if we were dumb enough to tell you who we are, would you believe us?"

Hiruzen: "…"

Damn it. They weren't playing by the rules at all.

Still, the fact that they'd stormed into Konoha so openly meant one thing. They weren't weak.

His eyes narrowed.

"Earth Style: Headhunter Jutsu."

An elite jonin burst up from underground and yanked the cocky man straight down into the soil.

Hiruzen was in his prime. His reactions were razor sharp. The moment he saw his subordinate move, his hands were already forming seals.

"Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld."

The ground liquefied instantly, turning into a sucking marsh that dragged all four intruders down.

"....."
