"Besides that, what other abilities do I have?"
"Answer: Summon the Dead."
"This move…" Sam rubbed his chin. "Feels like I've already used it before."
"Yes. You used it in the Douluo World."
"Anyone you've killed, or anyone you've sent into Hell, human or beast, can be summoned again through the ritual of Summon the Dead."
"Furthermore, the undead beings you summon are generated from data analyzed from the Dark Plane of the Hell dimension. They are formed with nether energy and are… absolutely obedient puppets designed to carry out your will."
"…Wait. Generated from analyzed data? Absolutely obedient puppets?"
Sam blinked. After listening to the King of Wisdom ramble on with a whole string of technical explanations, he was more confused than enlightened.
Seeing that, the King of Wisdom directly converted the knowledge into a simplified, easy-to-read format and displayed it in front of him.
After reading it carefully, Sam finally got the gist.
In simple terms, his Summon the Dead wasn't the same as what necromancers used.
Necromancers resurrect actual corpses, turning them into true undead creatures.
What Sam summoned, however, was closer to a data copy.
Hell would analyze the soul's information, replicate it, and construct a puppet using that data.
Which meant even if the original soul had already reincarnated, Sam could still summon the undead version he wanted.
Because it wasn't the original soul. It was just a copy.
And since it was a copy, it didn't truly "die."
Destroyed in battle?
No problem. Just regenerate a new one.
Of course, because it was a data-generated puppet, it possessed the original soul's strength, abilities, and combat experience… but none of its consciousness.
"This ability is insane," Sam muttered.
As long as he had enough nether energy or any other power source to sustain it, he could keep summoning that same undead puppet to fight, no matter how many times it was destroyed.
"Hold on." Sam suddenly realized something. "What's the Dark Plane?"
…Emmm. That sounded like some important knowledge from a certain world again.
"The Dark Plane involves the structural composition of dimensions, and—"
The King of Wisdom launched into another long-winded explanation.
Sam understood absolutely nothing.
His head started spinning from the endless stream of jargon. So he simply closed his eyes and went to sleep.
Even with the King of Wisdom still talking, he drifted off effortlessly.
This, after all, was a supreme divine skill he had cultivated during his student years.

…
"Man, that was a good nap…"
Sam stretched lazily, looking utterly refreshed.
King of Wisdom: "…"
Seriously?!
I worked so hard explaining everything to you, and you fell asleep?!
"Ding. The Hyperdimensional Mercenary Guild has completed its update. All functions are now reopened."
"???"
Sam froze. "It's done already? That fast?"
Robin: "…You slept for an entire day…"
Sam: "Emmm…"
He scratched his head awkwardly. Hey, it's not like you wake up and instantly know how long you've been asleep.
"Anyway, what did you update this time?"
Robin: "Mission ranking has been standardized."
"???" Sam frowned. "Meaning?"
"From now on, the Guild will accurately assess the difficulty level of missions and recommend the appropriate strength tier for participants."
"…That's it? You needed a whole day for that?"
"I feel like you're seriously underestimating the complexity of this."
"This involves too many dimensions. The computational load is enormous, and there's also significant interference with mission worlds. On top of that, there are plenty of other technical issues. It's very troublesome."
Robin clearly didn't feel like going into detail, so she brushed past it.
"Alright, alright."
Sam shrugged. He wasn't that interested in the technical side anyway.
At the end of the day, it was a good thing. With clearer mission rankings, everyone would know what they could handle and what they absolutely shouldn't touch.
"Ding. Hyperdimensional Mercenary Mission: Emergency Commission in the Naruto World has been posted. Interested participants, please register as soon as possible."
"Another mercenary mission?" Sam looked at the mission board. "There sure are a lot of these lately. But why weren't there any before?"
He remembered spending ages in the guild before the newcomers joined. Not a single commission had appeared back then.
Damn it.
If there had been missions earlier, he wouldn't have spent so many lonely years just sitting around like an idiot.
He focused on the mission details.
