Chapter 1 - INTRODUCTION

When we grow so old and weak, and our life here is over, then we die. Now, the question is, "Does it actually end there just like that, gone, done, forgotten and our existence goes with the wind?" Are people really reborn? Is there a next life on earth after this one? I do hear people say, "In my next life, I will..." And they begin to list a number of what they would and wouldn't do.

Well, let me start by quoting few verses from the Scriptures. In Ecclesiastes 12:7,

"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."

In 1 Thessalonians 4:13,

"But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (gone or dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope."

And in John 5:28,

"Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice."

I guess it's crystal clear that we don't just give up the ghost and that ends it. There's a life, another life, a life different from this one on this earth, a life where we keep existing, from year to year, without end. It is called eternity - endless life!

No amount of fame, excitement or merriment and wealth, and also, no degree of want or poverty, peril, troubles or trauma should make you lose the sight of the existence of eternity. How old do we think we are going to live, or how much more years do we think we still have to live? A hundred, two hundreds, or even 969 years old just like Methuselah? Not enough compared to a fraction of just a fraction in eternity. If eternity were to even have an end, then a million years in eternity is just the beginning of eternity, and the end of eternity (if at all there's something like that) is just like starting the journey through eternity, and by the time you would be getting close to the end of it (after countless years), you would only discover you had lived just a day out of it. Hmm... This is really serious! Eternity simply has no beginning and definitely no end. It's like going around a circle. You don't know where you started from and you can't stop. If you asked me, I would say, "Our life on earth has an end because it has a beginning, but for a life without a beginning, there's definitely no end."
