"You're right," Rosen said, her eyes sharpening. "He must have found some wild female out there."
Lex must have lost his mind. How could some random female outside possibly compare to the noble females she had so carefully selected for him?
She abruptly sat upright.
"Go summon Eagle Sky. I'm going personally to bring Lex back."
She wanted to see for herself what kind of female had bewitched her son so thoroughly that he would even abandon his position as city lord.
"Female Lord, there's no need for you to go in person," Lani urged. "The wilderness is remote and harsh. The journey would be too exhausting."
"Yes, Female Lord, just send others," Shael added, surprised she intended to go herself.
"No need to persuade me. I've made up my mind," Rosen said firmly.
Besides… a trip outside might be a welcome change. She had grown rather bored staying in Sea Blue City.
