"It seems I misunderstood the Great Goddess."
"Why do you say that?"
"At first, I thought she was acting on a whim—that she descended merely to amuse herself by oppressing the demon clan. But after hearing your story… perhaps she only wanted to visit your father."
Why hadn't she thought of that?
Kelsey remembered the two teacups she had seen when she arrived at her father's residence unannounced. Could her aunt have been there? And if so… her aunt had seen her rudeness to her father.
"I suppose I left a bad impression."
"Hm?"
"Never mind. How do we get in?"
Kelsey observed the barrier dome surrounding the island. Though it appeared ordinary, she could see streams of violet lightning coursing across its surface.
Wasn't that the highest tier of lightning magic? Whoever tried to trespass would be erased in an instant—body and soul burned away without a single trace left behind.
"Easy. Don't let go of my hand."
