Cassia chuckled as she slipped her arms around his neck. "Darling, it's not that I don't want you at my place. I'm afraid my tower would harm you since you're a god." Besides, her tower contained a small portion of her life force. She was worried Deon would notice.
"Then stay here... with me..." He brushed his nose against hers, drawing another sweet giggle from her.
"I'm afraid I can't do that."
"Why?"
"I'm afraid I'll attack you tonight," Cassia whispered on tiptoe before pulling away with a mischievous smile. Unbeknownst to her, she only made him want her even more.
"Then let me devour you tonight."
Cassia smiled faintly as he captured her lips in a soul-sealing kiss. Soon, she was lost in bliss and leaped up, wrapping her legs around his waist. Their breaths mingled and flowed together like a gentle stream.
