Marshal Stacker Pentecost stared at the holographic projection in front of him as various technicians ran around in the room, trying to get a handle on the situation that had suddenly busted down PPDC's door out of nowhere.
"Satellite predictions put its trajectory heading straight for the Pacific!"
"It is generating a localized storm system around itself. Landfall will be equivalent to a Category 5 hurricane."
"Someone get me Monarch on the line!"
"They already are on the line, and they are just as clueless as we are as to how this happened!"
"What about Hoenn?"
"What about them? They say they are already on the case as usual."
Nearly an hour ago, PPDC received a sudden alert on their systems about sudden movement from a Titan designated 'Monster Zero' by Monarch.
Within minutes, Stacker was called down from his room to the situation room, where they were briefed on the information they had about the Titan from Monarch, which led to the current situation.
However, there was one thing that nobody was sure of until now.
That is, how did this Titan, which was supposed to have been frozen under thick ice in the Antarctic, awaken and break out in the first place?
On Monarch's end, they tried reaching out to any of their members out in the outpost where the Titan was supposed to be, but received no reply. By the time PPDC diverted a few of their satellites to the outpost, they realized why that was.
Because Monarch outpost 32 had been reduced to nothing more than a flooded ruin that was already being frozen solid by now, with the freezing winds and storms of Antarctica, with projections showing zero possibility of survivors.
The Marshal turned to Tendo Choi and spoke in a grave voice.
"Where is it expected to make landfall?"
The chief LOCCENT officer looked at the data before replying to the Marshal.
"Somewhere in California. Predictions put it in the San Fran area."
'Again? What is up with San Fran getting hit so many times?'
Marshal kept his thoughts to himself as he nodded at those words.
Straightening up, he prepared to order the mobilization of all available Jaegers in the area. However, what happened next took all the wind out of his sails.
"Sir! We are detecting movement from multiple Titans! The Hoenn Trio is on the move! And so is Godzilla and Mothra! They are all converging on Monster Zero!"
Stacker's knuckles turned white at those words as he leaned into the holographic display, barking out his words full of worry and frustration.
"What about the Rifts they were chasing after!?"
"They abandoned them, sir! They seem to believe Monster Zero to be even more of a priority- wait! LOOK!!"
Stacker looked up at the giant display in the center of the command room that showed live tracking data of all Titans and Rift events on Earth. There, he saw something that sent chills down his spine.
The strongest of the Hoenn Trio, the one called Rayquaza, was peeling off from the group of titans converging on Monster Zero and was rapidly ascending into the skies, heading straight beyond the planet's atmosphere.
"What is it doing!?"
"Predictive models show that, at current speeds, it is going to escape the planet's atmosphere in a few minutes- update! Its speed just shot past Mach 40-scratch that, Mach 50, no 60. Its speed is increasing exponentially!"
Before the technician could complete his words, the data showed that Rayquaza was already beyond Earth's exosphere and was still accelerating.
Heading straight for Mars.
"I want to know where that Titan is planning to go! I don't care who we have to wrangle. I want satellites tracking Rayquaza as much as we can! Kaiju Tracking Division! I want you to keep an eye on the Monster Zero situation. Collaborate with the local military forces if you have to, while also deploying any available Jaegers near San Francisco. Mr. Choi!"
Tendo looked up from his display, spotting Stacker's grim look.
"Deploy Gipsy Danger, Vulcan Specter, Hydra Corinthian, and Atlas Destroyer to cover the rifts that the Titans were monitoring. I will not have any Kaiju slip through while they deal with Monster Zero."
Tendo got to work immediately, calling upon the pilots of the specified Jaegers while Pentacost kept staring at the screens, completely stressed and not knowing what all of this was going to lead to.
The human did not know that there was a certain nuclear space snake that was experiencing anxiety and stress far beyond him at this very moment.
————————————————————————-
Near Olympus Mons, the various pink creatures that have been named the Clefairy line by a certain space snake went about their day, tending to the huge fields of the Hollow Earth crystals that have been left in their care, which also served as the nourishment needed to heal their creator.
Normally, by this point, they would be doing their daily ritual dance where they would gather their creator's energy and return it back to it, but thanks to the crystals naturally radiating a form of neutral energy that was actively nourishing it, they no longer needed to do that.
Of course, they still occasionally do it since they find it fun, but it is no longer a necessity in their lives.
However, this peace was broken when they sensed a strange anomaly near their homes.
First, they felt a strange rumbling originating from deep within the caves, frightening them a good bit before they gained the courage to go in.
Then, they sensed a sudden shift in gravity, followed by the noise of rushing water, which was an alien sound to these pink blobs of pure emotions, prompting them to hasten their travel into the caves to find the source.
However, when they found the source, they could not help but scream in horror at what they saw.
A strange rift in reality spilling out water into the caves, as if it connected to the very bottom of an ocean. And from this rift, the Clefables, Clefairy, and Cleffas saw strange insect-like creatures with elongated legs and six limbs in total swim out.
The Precursors. The very same species that was actively invading the Earth had now targeted Mars, following a strange energy signature to its source that they accidentally discovered when they were freeing Monster Zero.
These monsters, these parasites devoid of any good, spotted the cute little creatures and did not hesitate to open fire with their energy weapons.
The Clefairy and Clefables managed to evade most of the attacks and retreated out of the caves, heading straight out, but the Cleffas, being the infants, did not have the same agility.
Several Cleffas fell to the Precursor energy weapons, making the adults and juveniles of their race howl in despair and an emotion that they had never experienced until this moment.
Rage.
And as if responding to this rage, something deep within the caves that had been dormant for thousands of years, awakened.
And it was pissed beyond belief as it felt the despair of its children through the mind link that it established the moment it awakened.
