Kanon used her Sharingan to scrutinize the situation below, gathering critical intelligence.
Kankuro was the Captain of the Surprise Attack Division, Inoichi Yamanaka led the Intel Division, and Shizune was the Captain of the Medical Division. Once the specialized units were finalized, the main army was divided into five distinct platoons based on combat expertise.
The First Division consisted of mid-range specialized fighters and weapon users; Tenten and Choza Akimichi had joined their ranks, with the core strength being ninjas proficient in projectiles and ninja tools. The Second Division focused on close-quarters physical combat; notably, members of the Hyuga clan were highly prevalent here, and they would serve as the vanguard of the Allied Forces.
The Third Division served as a short-to-mid-range support unit, requiring ninjas who possessed both immense stamina and speed. The Fourth Division was a long-range unit responsible for coordinating closely with the Intel Division and supporting the front lines, while simultaneously bearing the burden of protecting the logistical support units. Finally, the Fifth Division was a special combat unit utilizing unique jutsu and unconventional attack methods; on the battlefield, they were expected to produce miraculous results.
After finishing her analysis, Kanon sneered to herself. "They've divided the troops, but once the fighting actually starts, it'll be hard to keep everyone in their separate lanes."
"That's why the Fifth Division exists, ninjas with secret techniques. But can they really pull it off?"
"I'm looking forward to it." The corner of Kanon's mouth tilted upward. As the Uchiha blood coursed through her veins, a surge of battle intent rose within her. She was eager for the clash.
Right then, someone shouted.
"It's the Captains!"
Sitting on a barren rock not far away, Kanon looked toward the source of the voice. Sure enough, five figures slowly emerged at the summit of the Alliance's gathering.
As these five figures appeared, the Alliance troops below erupted into cheers. From left to right: the Captain of the First Division, Darui of the Hidden Cloud, right-hand man to the Raikage; the Captain of the Second Division, Kitsuchi of the Hidden Stone; the Captain of the Third Division, Kakashi Hatake; and the Captain of the Fifth Division, Mifune, the General of the Land of Iron. Finally, in the center, was the Captain of the Fourth Division and the Regimental Commander of all combat divisions: the Kazekage, Gaara!
Watching these five take the stage, Kanon stood up. Though she was standing far off, having transplanted the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan allowed her to see every detail with absolute clarity. Below, the eighty thousand soldiers of the Alliance applauded the five leaders as Gaara prepared to deliver his impassioned speech.
…
The Masked Man's Hideout.
Kabuto looked toward the masked man.
"Kanon-chan isn't back yet?"
"Mhm. She said she was going to check out the Alliance. It should be about time, though," the masked man replied, frowning.
At that exact moment, the space in front of them began to warp. Kanon stepped out of the rose-shaped spatial vortex, looking at Kabuto and the masked man with a neutral expression.
"The Alliance is just about ready."
Kabuto nodded. "The moment has finally arrived!"
He immediately brought his hands together and began weaving signs in front of Kanon and the masked man.
"Summoning Jutsu: Reanimation!"
Suddenly, hundreds of coffins erupted from the ground, each containing the elites of the shinobi world who had passed away.
"First, the members of the Akatsuki: Itachi, Sasori, and Nagato."
Kanon looked at the three of them with complex emotions. She felt a twinge of regret for Nagato and Sasori; as for Itachi, she felt nothing at all. Why bother caring about someone who was already dead?
Kanon followed Kabuto's gaze as the corpses of six Jinchuriki were also reanimated.
"The former Jinchuriki are also vital combat assets: Yugito Nii of the Two-Tails, Yagura of the Three-Tails, Roshi of the Four-Tails, Han of the Five-Tails, Utakata of the Six-Tails, and Fuu of the Seven-Tails."
"Additionally, the former Kage: the Second Tsuchikage, the Third Raikage, the Fourth Kazekage, and the Second Mizukage."
"The Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist; Pakura of the Scorch Release; Gari of the Explosion Release; Zabuza Momochi, the Demon of the Mist; and Haku of the Ice Release."
"Hanzo of the Salamander, Chiyo of the Sand, and Kimimaro of the Kaguya clan."
"Konoha's Asuma Sarutobi, Dan Kato, Hizashi Hyuga, and other renowned masters."
Seeing so many people she recognized, Kanon felt a bit puzzled. "Hmm? What about the First and Second Hokage, the old man Third, and Naruto's father?"
"I haven't fully grasped the Reaper Death Seal yet, so I can't summon them for now."
"So, the Reaper Death Seal has to be broken first?" Kanon mused.
"Exactly." Kabuto nodded, then looked behind him. "And there's far more than just these. By using Yamato to replicate Hashirama's cells, the results have been, unsurprisingly, remarkable. Between the legendary shinobi of the past and the enhanced one hundred thousand White Zetsu, our military strength is more than sufficient."
Kisame walked over, leaning on his crutch. Seeing the display, a smile gradually spread across his face. "Truly a magnificent sight!"
Deidara walked up laughing. Behind him were the current members of the Akatsuki. Konan, Hidan, and Kakuzu were all in place, though Kakuzu was in a wheelchair, cradling Hidan's head in his hands.
"Whoa! Lord Jashin! Is this the bounty you have bestowed upon us?!"
"To think I can't be on the front lines for a war like this... is this the punishment Lord Jashin has granted me?"
"Oh! My darling Kakuzu-sama, let us pray together for victory in this war!"
"Shut up, Hidan! You don't even have a body, stop your yelling!"
"Kakuzu, once I get my body back, you're the first one I'm slaughtering for interrupting my prayer ritual!"
Konan walked up to Kanon and gently pulled her into an embrace. "Are you afraid, Kanon-chan?"
"Mhm. To say I'm not afraid would be a lie; this is war, after all."
"But our dream is right before us."
Kanon looked forward. In this Great Shinobi World War, no one would be able to remain uninvolved.
"Konan-nee, stay here with the others and wait for our good news." Kanon smiled, patting Konan's hand to give her a reassuring look.
Kisame looked at everyone and said to Kanon, "I'm looking forward to the success of the Eye of the Moon Plan. A world without falsehood is almost here."
Kanon stood in the center, with the masked man on her left and Kabuto on her right.
"It's time to move out," the masked man reminded them.
"Mhm." Kanon nodded. Behind her were Deidara and the others.
"The Fourth Great Shinobi World War begins... now," the masked man said softly.
"War is declared," Kanon announced.
Immediately, the entire army began to integrate. Kanon crossed her arms and was the first to walk out. As the one who declared war, she would need to push her Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu to its absolute limit, but for her, possessing Sage Mode, it was child's play. At the very least, each of Kanon's shadow clones could maintain the Mangekyo Sharingan and continuously absorb natural energy to sustain their state. However, because she was creating so many clones, only the original body could use the intangibility of the Flower Realm.
Her original body set out with one team, while her shadow clones participated in and commanded the Surprise Attack Division and other units. It was easy to tell the clones from the original: the original wore a crimson Uchiha coat, while the clones all wore blue Uchiha coats.
"Before we deploy, shouldn't we deal with all the ants outside first?" Kanon asked.
"Very well," the masked man agreed.
Sure enough, the Konoha ninjas scouting the area had discovered the movement below, as the entire base had sprung into action. With the activation of the Reanimation Jutsu, everyone began to move.
"They're moving! And in staggering numbers!" Tokuma Hyuga shouted.
"Get back to the main force as quickly as possible to report this. I'll stay here to continue scouting the base," Anko Mitarashi ordered.
"But staying here is too dangerous!"
"Enough chatter, go!" Anko pushed Tokuma. "I know it's dangerous, but if this intel isn't delivered, our comrades will be in even greater danger."
Suddenly, a voice came from behind them.
"So you do know it's dangerous," a female voice said.
Anko immediately pulled out a kunai and entered a combat stance, but Kanon was faster. Her Chidori Sharp Spear instantly pierced Tokuma through the brow.
"Tokuma!" Anko screamed.
"War always comes with death. Don't be in such a hurry; you're next."
With Tokuma dead, only three ninjas remained with Anko. Kabuto walked up as well, sneering at Anko. As the Reanimation army began to leap out from behind them, the souls of the dead were summoned back.
"Zabuza-san," Haku said, looking at Zabuza.
"It seems this isn't that other world," Zabuza noted. "My consciousness is clear, yet my body won't obey me."
Gari seemed to understand the technique. "This is a forbidden jutsu, the Reanimation Jutsu. We've been summoned back to this world by someone. Which means a war is about to start."
Zabuza said irritably, "Exploiting even the dead... this really pisses me off!"
At the hideout entrance, Kabuto returned carrying a severely injured Anko Mitarashi, with Kanon following behind. In front of the three of them, Sasori's body emitted white smoke. Kabuto looked at the four before him.
"Shin of the Leaf and Chukichi of the Mist will handle sensing and support, along with Kanon's shadow clone."
"Deidara, you and Sasori will be responsible for trap-based demolition and launching surprise attacks."
"Sigh, teaming up with a dead guy is such a pain," Deidara said, shrugging helplessly.
"It seems the Akatsuki has truly fallen. Why is everyone in such a sorry state?" Sasori looked behind him at Kisame on his crutch, the bodyless Hidan, and Kakuzu in a wheelchair; he was somewhat speechless. "Are the only ones left the brat who inherited my place, Kanon, and Kabuto?"
"Anyway, how are you still alive?!" Sasori shouted, pointing at Deidara.
"Making grand claims about eternal beauty and art... dead people should just keep their mouths shut. Besides, you have a fatal weakness right on your chest, Master Sasori."
"Deidara, do you want to die?!" Sasori barked in annoyance.
Kanon watched the scene and let out a little laugh. She really missed the old times, going on missions with this artistic duo.
"Sasori-nii... I'm sorry about what happened before. I failed to protect you..."
"It's fine... I didn't take it to heart." Seeing Kanon apologize so sincerely, Sasori was caught somewhat off guard.
