Before Sakura could even process what was happening, Kanon blurred into motion from Madara's side. Her expression remained completely serene as two Rasengan materialized within her palms.
Suddenly, her twelve-tomoe Rinnegan flared with brilliant light, and the flow of time around them slowed to a crawl. In Sakura's eyes, however, Kanon simply vanished out of thin air, returning to her original spot in the blink of an eye.
But in the next instant, an Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan detonated directly in front of Naruto and Sasuke respectively. A violent storm of churning chakra swallowed them whole.
The two let out agonized cries as they, along with Sakura, were forcefully blown away like three meteors crashing into the battlefield. The impacts hollowed out three massive craters in the earth, kicking up plumes of dust that resembled giant mushroom clouds.
Kanon stood with her hands resting calmly behind her back, taking her place beside Madara. She cast a sidelong glance at him. "Are you able to utilize four versions of Limbo: Border Jail now?"
"This is the true power I have reclaimed by gathering both of my Rinnegan," Madara stated softly.
"I see."
Farther away, inside one of the deep craters, Naruto wrenched the black receiver out of Sakura's body.
"Sakura, are you okay?!"
"I'm fine, Naruto."
Sakura stared toward Kanon in the distance, her expression turning somber. At this moment, she fully realized that Kanon truly no longer cared for any past sentimentality between them.
Just then, Sasuke shouted over to Naruto, "Naruto!"
"I know. The numbers have increased, right?"
Sakura gasped in utter horror. It was one thing to see Kanon's Rinnegan, but as Sasuke, who had kept his eyes closed until now, opened them once more, she realized that he, too, had awakened the Rinnegan.
Sasuke paid no attention to Sakura. His sharp gaze remained locked onto Madara and Kanon. Beside Madara, four invisible phantoms from Limbo: Border Jail stood on high alert.
The fact that Madara's shadows had increased to four only made an already dire situation exponentially worse. Yet, Madara remained supremely confident.
"The opening act is over."
"Kanon, I will grant you the opportunity to unleash a single jutsu. After that, leave the rest of the fighting entirely to me," Madara said with a cold smirk.
"Fair enough." Kanon gave a slight nod. She stepped past Madara, the Rinnegan in her eyes spinning faintly.
Cosmic Annihilation. This was Konin's exclusive Rinnegan ocular jutsu, a true Divine Art. When Konin's original self had unleashed this technique in her own timeline, it was hailed as the second ultimate absolute method. Now, with Konin controlling Kanon's body, this jutsu granted her the power to manipulate any celestial body, be it a star, a black hole, or a neutron star.
Sensing the threat, Naruto used a chakra arm to tear a small mountain from the earth, hurling it high into the air. Sasuke, moving even faster than the flying mass of rock, leaped above Kanon's position.
In mid-air, Sasuke instantly used Amenotejikara to swap places with the airborne mountain. Their coordination was seamless, a testament to their deep bond as teammates.
Kanon looked up at the massive mountain hurtling directly down toward her, her face entirely expressionless. No one noticed that for a single fraction of a second, the tomoe in her Rinnegan multiplied to twenty-four.
Boom!
Before the mountain could even come close to Kanon, it was violently shattered into millions of pieces. The countless jagged fragments suddenly lost all gravity, hovering listlessly in mid-air.
With a casual wave of Konin's hand, the suspension snapped. The massive boulders shot forward like a barrage of bullets, raining down upon Naruto.
Naruto scrambled backward at breakneck speed. Each fragment detonated with cataclysmic force upon impact, as if the battlefield were being pounded by a relentless meteor shower. It was a terrifying spectacle.
As he fled, Naruto resembled a streak of golden light darting across the wasteland, closely trailed by a chain of massive explosions.
Sasuke charged forward, Chidori sharp sword crackling with purple electricity as he slashed down at Kanon. However, a pink pulse of pure kinetic energy violently repelled him, sending him flying backward.
"Since I cannot use my full power, I will leave you with this instead," Konin murmured indifferently, casting her gaze up toward the moon.
Kanon raised her slender left hand, closing it into a fist. To any onlooker, it looked as though her delicate fingers were physically tugging at an invisible thread tied to the cosmos.
In the next instant, Madara, Team 7, and even the Allied Shinobi Forces stationed far beyond the immediate battlefield, the entire shinobi world, stared up at the sky in absolute horror.
A brilliant pink light erupted across the crimson moon, completely enveloping the lunar surface in less than three seconds.
The moon began to violently shudder. Across its massive, mountainous craters, countless deep fractures began to web outwards.
Because the moon was tidally locked, it did not rotate, but under the absolute manipulation of Cosmic Annihilation, breaking it apart to rain debris down upon the planet was child's play for Konin.
However, destruction was not her ultimate goal. For now, she merely summoned a fraction of the lunar fragments to bombard the battlefield.
The sheer scale of the phenomenon was incomprehensible. As the twenty-four-tomoe Rinnegan faded back to its normal state, a cold smirk played on Kanon's lips.
"Konin, I've recorded the execution," Kanon said internally.
"Good. As long as you've recorded it," Konin replied within their shared consciousness.
Watching the cosmic display from beside her, Madara threw his head back and laughed hysterically.
"Hahahahaha! Utterly mad!"
"To think you could achieve something of this magnitude! Kanon! Hahahahaha! I am thoroughly impressed by you!"
Further away, Kakashi and the others stood frozen in shock. Countless massive meteors were tearing through the sky, falling at a velocity that far surpassed the Tengai Shinsei.
As the meteors slammed into the earth, the ground ruptured, sending massive shockwaves through the terrain. The outer ranks of the Allied Shinobi Forces were violently thrown into the air, and many lost their lives in the chaotic bombardment.
Because the atmosphere had been violently torn open, the immediate battlefield suddenly plunged into a state of localized weightlessness. Sakura found herself drifting off the ground, a phenomenon that left Kakashi utterly bewildered.
Sakura trembled violently from head to toe. Beside her, Minato and Hiruzen watched in solemn silence. The child who had once loved peace so deeply, who had craved nothing more than a quiet field of flowers, had become a force capable of reshaping reality.
At just fifteen years old, she wielded the power to alter the very fabric of the world. If only Kanon had stood on the side of the Allied Shinobi Forces, this war would have concluded long ago...
Hashirama let out a heavy, regretful sigh. To pull down the moon itself through sheer individual might was something even the God of Shinobi didn't know how to describe.
In this clash of legacies, he had been utterly defeated by Madara. At this moment, Kanon had surpassed even Madara himself, her depth truly unfathomable.
Gaara and Rock Lee watched, completely paralyzed by what they were witnessing. This was the younger sister who had once stood shoulder-to-shoulder with them during the Chunin Exams.
Now, she had left them so far behind that they couldn't even catch a glimpse of her shadow. The power she wielded at eleven years old was a peak they could never hope to achieve in their entire lifetimes.
Once the dust finally began to settle, Kanon spoke softly, "Alright. I'm about finished."
Surveying the utter devastation around them, noting how Naruto and Sasuke were struggling to steady themselves, Madara nodded. "I understand what you intend to do now."
Madara leaped into the air, hovering high above the battlefield. He raised a single hand as a dense, black substance manifested from his right palm, rapidly splitting into multiple spheres.
"What is he planning?" Kakashi asked, his expression growing incredibly grave.
High in the sky, Madara brought his palms together. "Chibaku Tensei!"
Countless massive chunks of earth tore away from the ground, soaring upward. Sensing the impending catastrophe, Gaara immediately barked orders to the surrounding shinobi.
"Retreat from this area immediately!"
"But what about Naruto and the others?!" Lee shouted back.
"They can handle it! We have already lost far too many people; we cannot afford any more casualties!"
Following Gaara's command, the remaining forces began a desperate retreat. The Allied Shinobi Forces, now numbering fewer than ten thousand, scrambled away from the epicenter of the battlefield.
Above them, dozens of colossal planetary satellites formed, blotting out the sky.
Kanon looked up, casting a casual glance at the floating spheres, before finding a large boulder to sit on. She crossed one leg over the other, watching with detached interest.
Observing from Kakashi's side, Sakura gasped in horror. "Is this the power of the Six Paths?"
"They're even larger than before, and there are so many of them! But what is Kanon going to do?!" Naruto gritted his teeth.
"Don't just watch the sky! His shadows are right here! Kanon likely won't strike again; we need to focus all our strength on Madara!" Sasuke warned the group sharply.
In the sky, Madara looked down and mused softly, "These raindrops are a bit on the hard side, and a fair bit larger too."
"You call those raindrops, old man Madara? Too weak! They can handle that much," Kanon called out from her boulder, her tone entirely indifferent.
"Which is precisely why I described them as raindrops," Madara replied. He pointed a finger down at Naruto and Sasuke, and his Limbo clones instantly lunged forward.
Naruto and Sasuke clenched their jaws, realizing how incredibly difficult this fight was going to be.
"They're coming!"
"The shadows are moving in!"
Naruto wove a hand seal. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
In an instant, five clones of Naruto materialized.
"Leave this to me!"
Four of the shadow clones rushed forward to intercept and engage Madara's Limbo shadows in close-quarters combat.
Meanwhile, the falling meteors would be left to Sasuke.
Kanon, however, shifted her gaze toward Black Zetsu in the distance, her expression thoughtful and calculating.
"I think I'll record the exact moment these fools draw their final breaths," Black Zetsu cackled coldly.
The cataclysmic meteors began their descent one by one. If they truly made landfall, everything would be wiped out.
"Kurama!" Naruto roared.
"Right!" Kurama nodded. Instantly, the Tailed Beast Bomb in Naruto's hand reshaped itself into a massive Tailed Beast Bomb Rasenshuriken.
Simultaneously, Sasuke manifested his Complete Body Susanoo, taking flight into the heavens to meet the falling stars.
…
Mount Myoboku.
The Great Toad Sage, Gamamaru, slowly opened his ancient eyes.
"What is it, Great Honourable Geezer?" Fukasaku asked, sensing the sudden shift.
"The age of prophecy is finally upon us... an order that has stood for a thousand years is about to be rewritten..."
"The Child of the Prophecy, Naruto Uzumaki... and the other Child of the Prophecy, Kanon Uchiha..."
"The threads of the future have become completely clouded... yet everything is poised to change. Starting from this very moment... these two individuals will bring grand changes to the shinobi world..."
"We can only watch and wait..."
