"I am planning to kill the Vampire Prince... and I need your help."
Hearing Luke's nonchalant attitude paired with such serious words, Cael [Wind clone] was startled. His eyes widened in disbelief.
He had never expected Luke to say those words at all.
Without waiting for another word, Cael stood up from his seat.
"Let's discuss this somewhere else."
Luke nodded and did not object. They walked slowly toward Cael's dorm room, both of them silent on the way.
The hallway was empty, the evening light casting long shadows across the floor.
They both entered the dorm room. The door clicked shut behind them.
Inside Cael's room, they sat opposite each other.
Cael spoke first,
"Do you even know what you are saying?"
Luke nodded his head and said,
"I know. I want to... no, I will kill the Vampire Prince."
Cael's violet eyes met Luke's crimson ones. They stared into each other for a long moment, neither backing down.
