Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: Zenitsu, the Headache

Kagaya felt that Sanemi and Obanai should have a sense of propriety, and he also genuinely wanted to see if this method was feasible, so he did not stop them.

Giyuu said nothing and drew his Nichirin Sword.

"Hehehehe, I'm coming."

Sanemi chuckled a few times, then swung his Nichirin Sword and charged at Giyuu, striking him with a powerful blow.

Giyuu parried with his blade.

Clang!

The blue and green blades collided at that moment, sparks flew, and then the parts where the two Nichirin Swords met turned crimson, gradually spreading across the entire blades.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

However, seeing this, Sanemi did not stop immediately, but instead struck Giyuu three more times. Giyuu blocked all of them, and by this point, both of their Nichirin Swords had turned completely crimson.

Only then did Sanemi retreat, feeling somewhat refreshed. At this point, Obanai stepped up.

"It's my turn."

After saying that, Obanai also held his Nichirin Sword and began clashing with Giyuu. After four clashes, Obanai's Nichirin Sword also turned crimson again. He then stood back, feeling somewhat unsatisfied.

Giyuu's expression remained unchanged at this time, and he silently returned his Nichirin Sword to its sheath.

Everyone present had clearly seen what had just happened.

"It seems the method Gyoumei mentioned is also feasible. However, the specific extent of the Bright Red Nichirin's effect still needs to be verified by everyone in future missions. I hope it can give everyone more of an advantage in battles against demons.

At the same time, I also thank Musashi for discovering and being willing to share this ability."

Kagaya said to all the Hashiras after seeing what had just happened, then turned and smiled, expressing his gratitude to Musashi.

"It's my duty, Master." Musashi replied, bowing slightly.

Kagaya smiled upon hearing this, then turned to all the Hashiras and said, "The two matters to be discussed today are now completely concluded. Thank you all for coming.

Until next time, my children."

The four words "Until next time" conveyed Kagaya's hope that the Hashiras would safely defeat the demons, and also his hope that his own body would last until the next Hashira Meeting.

Originally, it was a very ordinary farewell, but here it felt somewhat heavy and sad. Thinking of the Master's deteriorating physical condition, all the Hashiras felt a touch of sadness.

"Until next time, Master."

Words wishing the Master safety had been spoken too many times. Now, the Hashiras merely echoed the same words to Kagaya, expressing their shared hope with the Master.

After bidding each other farewell, the Hashiras walked out of the courtyard together, except for Giyuu, of course; he always came and left alone.

"Teacher, today's matter…"

His views on this matter and Kyojuro's were somewhat at odds, so he still had some lingering unease and planned to apologize to Kyojuro. However, just as he started speaking, Kyojuro interrupted him.

"Don't dwell on today's matter! It's normal to have your own opinions! And your ideas are perfectly fine! The final test also convinced me! Now I am willing to temporarily acknowledge that brother and sister duo!" Kyojuro said loudly.

Musashi felt a warmth in his heart upon hearing Kyojuro's words.

Teacher is indeed very considerate of others...

"Thank you, Teacher." Musashi said to Kyojuro with a smile. The small knot in his heart had now completely disappeared.

Sanemi left alone after hearing their conversation. Although Nezuko had passed the rare blood test, he still refused to acknowledge them in his heart. However, he had previously said that if Nezuko passed the test, he would acknowledge them, so he couldn't say anything now.

...

After walking a certain distance, the Hashiras gradually separated. Thinking of Zenitsu and Tanjirou, who had been bandaged like mummies and were severely injured, Musashi turned and headed towards the Butterfly Mansion.

...

Inside the Butterfly Mansion courtyard

Musashi walked in and saw Kanao surrounded by butterflies.

Seeing no one else around, Musashi could only reluctantly walk towards her.

"May I visit the injured, Zenitsu Agatsuma and Tanjirou Kamado, who were brought here? Could you tell me where they are now?"

Musashi asked Kanao.

He really didn't want to ask Kanao, because she never responded to him. It had been quite some time since he met her, yet Kanao had never spoken a word to him.

"..."

(^_^)

Kanao did not answer him; she just smiled as usual.

I knew it...

Musashi felt a bit helpless.

"Then I'll go in and look for them myself, is that alright?" Musashi asked Kanao again. As expected, she still didn't speak. Musashi then went in by himself, and Kanao did not stop him.

Walking into the Butterfly Mansion, Musashi was still racking his brain trying to figure out how to find Zenitsu and Tanjirou's infirmary, when he saw the Kakushi who had just carried Tanjirou away and the girl who had previously served Kyojuro food walking towards him.

By now, Musashi had learned the girl's name from other members' conversations; she was a girl named Kanzaki Aoi, responsible for the Demon Slayer Corps' logistics.

Now Musashi no longer had to worry about finding the infirmary. He walked forward and asked, "Miss Kanzaki, are Zenitsu and Tanjirou here?"

"Master Musashi." x2

Upon seeing Musashi, the Kakushi and Kanzaki Aoi respectfully bowed and greeted him. After all, he was now a Hashira, and highly respected within the Demon Slayer Corps.

"You don't have to be like that…" Musashi was still not quite used to it and felt a bit awkward.

"Is Master Musashi here to visit them?" Kanzaki Aoi asked Musashi with a smile.

She had also heard some things about Musashi; becoming a Hashira by slaying Lower Moon Two less than a month after joining the Demon Slayer Corps, an unparalleled genius. His deeds had already spread throughout the Demon Slayer Corps, though Musashi himself was not yet fully aware.

There were also rumors that Musashi had a very good temper and was friendly to ordinary members and lower-ranked swordsmen. This was quite remarkable among the Hashiras, giving members of the Demon Slayer Corps who hadn't met him a very good impression of him.

Now that she had met him in person, Kanzaki Aoi completely believed the rumors about Musashi.

"Yes, they are friends I met during the Final Selection." Musashi nodded and replied.

"Master Musashi is truly gentle, coming to visit them in person even as a Hashira." Kanzaki Aoi exclaimed admiringly upon hearing this.

He was one of the few Hashiras she had met who was both normal and good-tempered.

"They are in the infirmary ahead. I'll lead the way."

"Thank you for the trouble." Musashi said with a smile.

Then Kanzaki Aoi led Musashi towards Zenitsu and Tanjirou's infirmary.

"How are they recovering? Is the treatment going smoothly?" Musashi asked Kanzaki Aoi.

Kanzaki Aoi's expression became troubled upon hearing Musashi's question, and she said with a slight complaint, "Tanjirou just arrived, and his injuries are not too severe, so he should recover quickly.

But Zenitsu's condition is more serious, and he's not very cooperative with the treatment. It takes him a long time of crying and fussing before he reluctantly agrees to take his medicine."

Thinking that Zenitsu would need to recuperate for quite some time, Kanzaki Aoi felt a headache coming on.

"Uh… then you all must be really working hard."

Recalling Zenitsu's personality, Musashi could already imagine the scene at the time.
