Chapter 14
**The Hidden Traitor**
The Sanctuary was quiet once more.
But peace no longer felt safe.
Ji Young sat alone in the training hall,
his Lightbound Blade resting across his knees.
He replayed every battle in his mind.
The Flames General.
The Silence General.
Each enemy was stronger.
Faster.
Deadlier.
Ji Young clenched his fists.
"I need more power…"
Kael entered slowly.
"And you will gain it," he said.
"But strength without wisdom creates ruin."
Ji Young looked up.
"Then teach me everything."
Kael gave a small nod.
"Tomorrow,
your true Guardian training begins."
---
That night—
Ji Min wandered through the Sanctuary gardens.
Moonlight touched the glowing flowers.
Her Life Light flickered softly.
But suddenly—
She heard whispers.
A voice.
Dark.
Quiet.
"…The vessel…"
Ji Min stopped.
"Who's there?"
No answer.
Only shadows.
She followed the strange sound deeper into the old stone halls.
Then—
She saw someone.
A hooded figure standing before an ancient sealed door.
Dark energy moved around their hand.
Ji Min's eyes widened.
"That power…"
Before she could speak—
The figure turned sharply.
Silver eyes.
Cold smile.
"Oops…"
Darkness exploded.
Ji Min screamed.
---
Elsewhere—
Ji Young felt it instantly.
"Ji Min!"
He ran.
Kael followed.
They reached the hidden corridor.
The walls were scarred by dark energy.
Ji Min stood trembling.
The hooded figure vanished.
Only shadows remained.
"Who was that?" Ji Young asked.
Ji Min's voice shook.
"Someone… inside the Sanctuary."
Kael's face darkened.
"A traitor…"
---
Deep beneath the Sanctuary—
The hooded figure knelt before a shadow mirror.
"I have confirmed it," the traitor whispered.
"The girl's powers are evolving rapidly."
The mirror rippled.
The King of Darkness appeared faintly.
"Excellent."
"And Ji Young?"
The traitor lowered their head.
"He grows faster than expected."
Silence.
Then—
"Continue watching," said the King.
"When the time comes…
open the Sanctuary."
The mirror faded.
---
Back above—
Kael stood before the ancient council chamber.
His expression was grim.
"For years,
I feared this…"
Ji Young stepped forward.
"What is it?"
Kael turned slowly.
"The Sanctuary has been compromised."
Ji Young's heart tightened.
"You mean…"
Kael nodded.
"Darkness is already inside our walls."
---
Ji Young gripped the Lightbound Blade.
His enemies were no longer only outside.
Now—
The danger was within.
And for the first time—
Trust itself became uncertain.
---
Far away,
the Shadow Generals gathered.
The General of Flames.
The General of Silence.
And now—
A third presence stirred.
Covered in black armor.
The General of Ruin.
"The Sanctuary will fall," it said.
And the coming war grew closer.
