After a few tosses and turns, Liam and Jessica found themselves standing on the ground, locked in what looked to be a stalemate.
Liam had his talons stabbed deeply in Jessica's shoulders, using them to keep her still. He could tear a lot of her apart since the Primal Urge was still going, but chances were that wouldn't kill her. Even as a zombie, she could probably resume the previous battle tactic and kill him for good.
Meanwhile, Jessica looked quite beaten. Blood had tainted her chin, spurted out of his mouth after the previous impact. She was blind in her left eye, half of her ear was gone, and even her shoulder wasn't connected to her neck anymore.
There was also the rank 2 knife stabbed on Jessica's left side. It hadn't dug deep, but it was an additional injury worth considering.
The issue was that Liam was basically stuck now, while Jessica still had a lot of power to unleash.
