Scarlett POV
I heard his voice—angry, sharp. It was coming from outside the garage.
What's happening?
He should have been happy. He had Mr. Grey captive… or so I thought. But there was no excitement in his tone now. No confidence. Only rage.
I was so scared as I prayed silently *Please let Mr. Grey be okay.*
"What the hell do you mean he doesn't have a single cut on him?" he roared from outside.
Fear wrapped tightly around my chest.
Who was he talking about?
"I—I'm not sure, sir," another voice replied shakily. "There are bodies everywhere… except his. He's perfectly fine. Not a scratch."
A loud crash followed—metal slamming against something solid. I flinched, my heart nearly bursting from my chest. A curse came after.
He'd smashed something. Or kicked it.
"Are you sure he's alone?" he demanded.
"Yes, sir. The cameras and drones tracked his every move."
Silence.
Then another voice, hesitant. "Boss… I don't think this will work. We should just dump the girl somewhere—"
