Damien POV
I cleared my throat, trying to hide the building tension inside of me. Could she have discovered Xavier's secret? But how?
Gosh! This is gonna be bad.
"Sir are you listening" she asked, pulling me back to reality. I flashed her a smile and replied "yea. You were saying…"
"Oh yes, I have found the solution to Mr Grey's problem" she said making my heart skip a bit.
I cleared my throat "what problem exactly" I asked, hoping it's not what am thinking.
She gave me a strange look before replying "you said Mr Grey is not happy right…" she asked and I simply just nodded, anxiety eating me up.
"Well I have found a way to make him happy and I promise Mr Cross, it's gonna work just please, don't end the deal" she concluded.
A wave of relief washed through me as those words left her mouth. It's not what I was thinking all along— Xavier's past.
If it were, gosh it would have been really bad.
Like damn bad.
