"I'm not sure, ma'am, but it's Mr. Grey's orders. It should be given to you so you can hand it over to his grandma," she explained, and my mouth formed a small "O."
What? Me?
I sighed. "Thanks," I said simply, and she let out a small bow before walking out through the door.
I finished my ice cream before heading out. Gosh, I didn't even ask for the room number. This hospital is ridiculously big—I'm definitely going to get lost.
I walked around the floor, going deeper and deeper into the building. The entire place was eerily quiet. I was already getting tired when I spotted another nurse approaching me.
Oh, thank goodness.
"Excuse me," I called out immediately as she got closer.
"Yes, ma'am," she replied softly.
"I'm looking for a patient who is preparing for a heart transplant…" I said, unsure if that was enough information.
