The Great Fairy (Daiyousei) sat on a small stool in front of the Rice Cooker. She cupped her chin, humming a gentle tune, mesmerized by the steam rising from the vent.
Outside, the sky had darkened.
The youkai who had invaded Stardew Valley were filtering back to the Kappa Portal.
Adhering to the "First Come, First Served" rule, Leo converted his kitchen window into a cafeteria serving hatch. Every departing youkai received a Salted Rice Ball with Strawberry Jam.
Daiyousei was obsessed with the rice cooker. Every time the pot emptied, she immediately started a new batch. The 10-catty rice bucket was scraped clean.
"Big Brother, we're out of rice."
"Open another bag! I don't believe it!"
Leo was currently feeding a pink-haired girl. She wore a blue kimono and a triangular ghost headband. Her body was slightly translucent.

Yukari stood beside her, looking nervous. A small, white-haired girl with a katana (Youmu Konpaku) stood nearby, head bowed in embarrassment. Even her phantom half (a white marshmallow ghost) was slumped on the ground in shame.
"Lady Yuyuko... that's enough," Youmu whispered. "It's rude to keep eating. This isn't Hakugyokurou."

This pink-haired girl was Yuyuko Saigyouji. The Apex Predator of Gensokyo. The natural enemy of Mystia and Wakasagihime. The "Black Hole Stomach."
"Chew, chew... that's enough," Yuyuko swallowed the last grain of rice. She wiped her mouth elegantly. "Thank you for the meal. This humble one is grateful."
(She had only eaten 8 catties of rice. Just a light snack. But she didn't want to bankrupt the host on the first visit.)
"Phew," Leo wiped his brow. "Apologies for the poor hospitality. When the farm is richer, we will battle again."
He shook Yuyuko's hand. It was cool, soft, and delicate.
Yukari glared at their joined hands. Her gaze hissed like a snake.
"Alright! It's late!" Yukari interjected, pulling Yuyuko into her arms like a mother hen protecting a chick. "We're leaving! Ran will settle the bill! Bye!"

Gap closed.
"Goodbye," Yuyuko waved from inside the Gap. This Yukari is cute. Is she jealous already?
Most youkai left. But the Fairies remained.
Armed with their new ID Cards, they ran off to the Secret Forest to establish their "Braves Guild."
"Goodbye, Big Brother! I'm going to watch Cirno!"
Daiyousei shouldered her satchel (filled with emergency rice balls) and chased after the swarm. Her laughter faded into the night, dispelling Leo's fear of the dark.
Leo turned around.
"What's wrong with you? Didn't you go home with your sister?"
Four Flandres stared back at him with eight innocent red eyes.
"Hmph!" Flandre crossed her arms (times four). "Now that I'm out, why would I go back? Big Sis is annoying! 'Flan, sit up straight!' 'Flan, don't break that!'"
She mimicked Remilia's haughty voice perfectly, then giggled.
"So I decided to run away from home!" Flandre grabbed Leo's hands. "Big Brother, you'll take me in, right? Right?"
Leo surrendered instantly.
"Yes."
Remilia? Who is she? He only had Flandre now.
"But I only have one bed," Leo scratched his head. "Nitori upgraded it to a Double Bed, but... won't your sister get angry?"
He imagined waking up with Gungnir in his chest.
"Don't worry!" Flandre beamed. "I'm a vampire! I'm nocturnal! I'll play with the fairies at night and sleep during the day!"
"I see," Leo sighed in relief. "That works. The new blanket is yours during the day."
The lively day ended.
Ran handed Leo 30,000 Gold.
"For the food expenses," Ran apologized. "Most of it covers Lady Yuyuko's consumption."
Leo pocketed the money. He checked his quest log.

It had been a chaotic, exhausting, wonderful day.
