Chapter 185: Victim Big Duck Discovers Seele's Night Raid? No More NTR!

Although Raiden Mei was exceptionally polite, Su Mu could clearly sense a lingering barrier and distance between them. It was only natural; after all, they had only met a few times.

At that moment, Su Mu felt his phone vibrate. He checked it and found two messages on WeChat.

[Bronya: Su Mu, are you at home?]

[Bronya: Seele and I are on our way to your place. We bought some New Year goods.]

[Bronya: Let's spend New Year's Eve at your house this year. Your place is a bit bigger; my apartment is too small.]

[Bronya: After the New Year, should we consider buying a house in Arc City? That way, we don't have to keep running around...]

Bronya and Seele were rushing over. Su Mu let out a sigh and snapped a photo of Kiana clutching a jar of snacks. He attached a message:

[Su Mu: Help, a snack bandit has broken into my house!]

[Bronya: ???]

[Bronya: We're already downstairs.]

Not long after, Bronya and Seele appeared at Su Mu's door carrying large bags.

"Sister Mei, you're here too?" Bronya had originally intended to lecture the snack bandit, but seeing Raiden Mei there, she cast a suspicious glance at Su Mu. Seele stood beside Bronya, looking at Su Mu with a playful glint in her eyes. Although she was smiling, Su Mu felt a chill run down his spine.

"Isn't it New Year's Eve? I thought since Mei is also in Arc City, I'd invite her over to celebrate together," Kiana explained with a grin.

Bronya's expression didn't change much. she knew Kiana could never stay home quietly. Although she had planned for it to just be her, Su Mu, and Seele, two more people wouldn't hurt...

Looking at Kiana's loose pajamas and her relaxed manner—as if she were in her own home—Bronya walked over and nudged her. "Kiana, you're taking up too much space. Move over." she sat down in Kiana's spot with a look of displeasure.

"There's room elsewhere! Why do you have to kick me out!" Kiana pouted, feeling wronged.

"You have the nerve to say that? Everyone else is dressed properly and you're still in pajamas. It's too messy. Do you want to start the New Year looking this lazy?"

"I'll change! I'll change right now!!" Kiana grumbled, jumping off the sofa and heading back to her own apartment to change.

Taking advantage of the gap, Su Mu inventoried the goods Bronya and Seele brought. He formulated a mental menu for the New Year's Eve dinner. It was already 2:00 PM; he estimated they needed to start prepping the ingredients now to finish in time.

"Bronya, Seele, you two chat for a bit. I'm going to prep the food." Su Mu stood up and headed to the kitchen, followed closely by Raiden Mei.

"I'll help you," she said with a gentle smile.

Su Mu nodded. He didn't refuse her help, as having an extra pair of hands would indeed make things faster. Seele also wanted to help, but Su Mu's kitchen was quite small. Two people were already a tight fit; adding a third would make it impossible to turn around. Thus, the kitchen was left to Su Mu and Mei. Su Mu suggested Bronya and Seele go check on Kiana and invite Himeko-sensei for the dinner later.

Mei might have been a wealthy heiress, but she was efficient in the kitchen, proving she cooked for herself often. Su Mu had heard of the "Cooking Queen's" reputation before, and seeing her in action confirmed it. To be honest, Mei's skills weren't world-class—she was a lady of a wealthy house who didn't need to work—but she had trained herself out of necessity to take care of Kiana. Compared to those who either couldn't cook at all or got lost on the way to the stove, Mei was impressive.

While washing vegetables, Su Mu glanced at her. Mei was wearing a small bear apron he owned, her hair tied back in a practical ponytail. she was focused on chopping. she was naturally a gentle, "Yamato Nadeshiko" type of woman, and the apron and ponytail combo maximized her "homely wife" energy. As she moved, a faint fragrance wafted toward Su Mu's nose, making him feel a bit embarrassed. He coughed awkwardly and continued with the prep.

Ever since entering the kitchen and being alone with Su Mu, Raiden Mei had felt slightly uneasy. This was her first time being so close to a male peer in such a confined space. she could see Su Mu's profile clearly—the water sliding down his slender fingers and his handsome features made her daze out for a second.

"Ah—" In that brief lapse of concentration, she accidentally cut her finger.

"What happened?" Su Mu turned to see blood on her finger and looked concerned.

"I-I'm sorry, I was careless... I cut my finger..." Mei's face burned. she had actually gotten distracted by his face and cut herself! It was so embarrassing. she had intended to help, but ended up being a burden.

Su Mu went to the living room to get a band-aid. He carefully wrapped her finger, and during the process, their fingers brushed. Mei withdrew her hand as if shocked by electricity, her face turning as red as a ripe apple.

"Th-thank you..." "You're welcome."

The atmosphere in the kitchen became a bit strange. Su Mu initially took it as a minor incident, but the lingering tension was hard to ignore. Mei held her finger; though the wound throbbed, she didn't mind. she kept thinking of Su Mu's worried expression and how he carefully tended to her. That kind of concern couldn't be faked...

He seems... like a very gentle person, she thought. she had worried Su Mu had an agenda regarding Kiana, but now she felt a person this kind couldn't be a bad man. Su Mu didn't know he had just flipped his image in her mind. To him, it was just a small favor. Mei was Kiana's friend and she got hurt while helping him; of course he'd feel bad.

"You probably shouldn't get that wet. Go rest; I can handle the rest." Su Mu glanced at the mostly prepped ingredients and decided he didn't need further help.

"I'm... I'm sorry for the trouble." Mei lowered her head in shame. "It's fine. Just don't get distracted next time; it's dangerous." Su Mu smiled at her and returned to the stove. Watching his busy back, Mei placed a hand over her heart, her eyes twinkling with something beyond guilt.

7:00 PM. Himeko popped the tab on a beer and raised her glass high. "Cheers!" The New Year's Eve dinner officially began.

"Auntie Himeko, don't drink too much! You'll die at home!" "It's almost New Year and you're cursing me? I'm going to make sure you get drunk!" "Wuu-wuu-wuu!!"

Himeko hooked her arm around Kiana's neck, trying to force a beer to her lips. Because the mood was high and a drunkard like Himeko was leading the charge, everyone had a bit to drink. But as the night went on, Su Mu realized that of everyone there, Seele was the only one who couldn't handle her liquor. Bronya's tolerance shocked him; several large beers in, and she wasn't even flushed.

"Surprised?" Bronya sat to Su Mu's right, looking at him smugly. "For a Siberian woman, this beer is nothing compared to vodka."

Su Mu sweated. True. Compared to vodka, beer is child's play. But Seele, also from Siberia, was already turning red after a small amount. she let out a tiny hiccup and leaned dazedly against Su Mu. Sensing Bronya's gaze, Su Mu coughed and patted Seele's shoulder.

"Seele? Seele? If you're drunk, why don't you go lie down on the bed?" Seele opened her eyes, which were full of tenderness. Even her voice became sweet and coquettish as she acted spoiled. "Brother Su Mu~"

The girl was clearly not thinking straight. If Bronya noticed anything, it would be a disaster. Su Mu supported Seele and looked at Bronya. "Bronya, Seele seems drunk. Can you help her to the bed?"

Bronya didn't think much of it. she helped the tipsy Seele up and sighed. "Seele is always like this. she said she was happy today and had to have a drink..."

"Hehe, Sister Bronya, Sister Bronya—" Seele leaned in and rubbed her face against Bronya's like a pampered kitten. "Sister Bronya smells so good..."

A look of softness appeared on Bronya's face. "Silly child, trying to act tough with such low tolerance... Sigh." she helped Seele into the bedroom and returned shortly after.

As the rounds continued, the gaps in tolerance widened. Kiana was being driven in circles by Himeko and was already mumbling nonsense. Bronya was starting to feel the effects too. Because Su Mu had brought out a mysterious white liquor in a water bottle, even Bronya was getting tipsy after several glasses.

"My money! My little money! Waaaah!!" "Su Mu, it's all your fault! If not for you... you heartbreaker! Waaaah!!" Kiana's sudden accusation left Su Mu baffled.

"What heartbreaker?" Bronya sounded displeased. In front of the others, she grabbed Su Mu's arm, burying it in her softness. Her face was flushed from the alcohol, and she declared her "sovereignty" to Kiana. "Su Mu is my... b-boyfriend! Kiana, you brat, stop wandering around Bronya's boyfriend's house in your pajamas!"

Kiana froze, her drunken brain unable to process the situation. "Eh? B-boyfriend? Since when? How come I didn't know?"

Himeko drained a beer and shouted, "Refreshing!" then looked at them with bleary eyes. "Eh? Su Mu, why are you and Bronya all tangled up... since when were you that close? The girlfriend you mentioned... was it Bronya?" she stood up and stumbled toward them, tripping and spilling beer on Su Mu's leg. "Sorry, sorry! Let me wipe that!" she grabbed a tissue and reached for his thigh.

"Himeko-sensei! Stay away from Bronya's boyfriend!" Bronya hugged Su Mu tightly, glaring at Himeko.

"Haha, is Bronya jealous? Hehe—can't help it, I'm just too charming!" Himeko laughed heartily. Hot from the alcohol, she had already stripped down to a thin undershirt, her top buttons undone to reveal a mature black lace.

"Don't look! You aren't allowed to look!" Bronya suddenly shouted, grabbing Su Mu's face and pressing his head into her chest. His hair tickled her, making her giggle. "Don't look at Himeko, and don't look at Kiana. If you dare to be unfaithful!!"

The sudden "face wash" took Su Mu by surprise, but he realized he and Mei were likely the only sober ones left. He glanced at Mei, who was hugging a beer and muttering about work. "Work, work... it's all work... when will it end... if only I could slice through clients like I do in kendo..."

Wait? Miss Mei? What kind of dangerous things are you saying?! Su Mu realized with a jolt that he truly was the only sane one left!!

An hour later. After sending Himeko home, having Mei help Kiana back to her apartment, and carrying the drunk Big Duck to bed, Su Mu cleaned up the remains of the dinner. He lay on the sofa to rest. It was almost midnight; in a few minutes, the New Year would arrive. Thinking about his plans for the coming year, he drifted into a drunken daze.

However, in his stupor, he heard the rustle of fabric. He looked down and found a soft body under his blanket.

"Seele?" By the moonlight, he saw a small head pop out. It was indeed Seele. "You're going to..." Before he could finish, his whole body stiffened, and his fingers gripped the edge of the blanket. "What are you doing?" he whispered. The answer was...

Su Mu felt as if he were floating on soft clouds. He felt as if he were in a dream, where the clouds wrapped around him comfortably. But the tenderness was shorter than expected. Soon, dark clouds obscured the sky, followed by thunder and lightning. The clouds became frantic and wild, dragging him into a bottomless vortex. He struggled in the whirlpool, gritting his teeth against the sensation of being torn apart, followed by a relief that felt like his soul was ascending.

As the New Year arrived, the sound of fireworks shattered the silence of the night. Once they subsided, Seele emerged from the blanket, a playful look on her face as she leaned into his ear.

"Happy New Year, Brother Su Mu."

Su Mu embraced her, feeling her lingering heat. Her scent of lilies was everywhere, making his head spin. "You're too bold... what if Bronya found out?"

Seele giggled: "Don't worry, Sister Bronya is a deep sleeper. she won't wake up. Besides, Seele wanted to welcome the New Year with Brother Su Mu..."

Su Mu let Seele rest her head on his arm. Looking at the little "succubus" in his arms, he gave her cheek a firm kiss, making her giggle. The night wasn't over yet.

In the bedroom, the sound of fireworks woke a sleeping Bronya. Her head was still spinning from the alcohol. she opened her eyes dazedly and found the space beside her empty.

"Seele...?" Bronya sat up. she heard strange noises from the living room—the sound of objects colliding and a rhythmic "clapping" sound. Mhm? she stumbled out of bed and leaned against the bedroom door. she thought she heard voices. "Brother Su Mu, please love Seele—"

Was that Seele's voice? Holding her spinning head, Bronya pulled the door open a crack. Her bleary eyes fell on the living room. she saw two dark shapes pressed together on the sofa. she widened her eyes as moonlight fell on them. she saw the face of her beloved sister, and the other was her beloved man. Both seemed completely immersed in the moment, greedily enjoying the pleasure.

"...Hiss!!" The shocking scene caused a splitting headache. I must be drunk. I'm dreaming. How could something so absurd happen... The after-effects of the alcohol surged back, her vision blurred, and she could no longer stay upright. she closed her eyes...
