By the time Sienna was finally discharged from the infirmary, the sky outside had already started turning orange.
Sienna walked quietly beside her down the stone path leading toward the girls' dormitory. She was quiet. Too quiet.
And honestly, that scared Lyra more than the crying had.
Sienna had always filled spaces naturally. Even when she was upset, she still talked, still reacted and still argued.
Now she just looked… tired. Her hands were tucked into the sleeves of the oversized hoodie Lyra had forced her to wear because evenings had become colder recently. Her hair was tied back lazily, though loose strands kept falling around her face.
When they finally reached the dorm building, Lyra unlocked the room and pushed the door open first.
The familiar space felt strange after days away. Lyra had already come earlier to clean up before she left.
