Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: Sa: Earth Is Terrifying

Hotel front desk.

Miss Elsa arrived at the hotel front desk as usual, settled into her seat, and began dozing off from boredom.

As the staff member responsible for guest check-ins, sitting here for an entire day was her job.

Honestly, she quite liked it. Except during peak tourist season when things got a little hectic, most of the time it was wonderfully leisurely — and the pay was rather generous too.

Since it was currently the off-season, barely anyone came to the hotel in a day. But she still had to sit here and space out.

Just as she was wondering whether today would be like yesterday — standing watch until the end of her shift without a single guest showing up — the sound of footsteps suddenly came from outside.

Elsa looked toward the entrance, and just happened to see two people walking in. More precisely, a girl wearing a cap was supporting another girl with pink hair who appeared to be fast asleep.

Such a peculiar combination made Miss Elsa blink in confusion.

These two were, of course, Elysia — and Sa, whom she had knocked unconscious.

Elysia supported Sa up to the counter and said to Miss Elsa in a gentle tone: "Hello there~ could you arrange a twin room for us?"

Ah… what a voice, like something out of a dream. She must be an extraordinarily gentle person.

Miss Elsa thought this to herself.

But she quickly realized that just sitting there wasn't appropriate, and hurriedly said: "Ah, yes, of course..."

Elsa swiftly completed the check-in for the two of them.

Watching the pair walk into the hotel arm-in-arm, Elsa set aside her puzzlement.

"Must be two sisters out having fun together. They look so alike — doesn't seem like they're up to anything strange..."

Elysia unlocked the room door, helped Sa inside, and pulled the door shut behind them. She then dropped Sa unceremoniously onto the bed.

And to prevent her from escaping, Elysia used rope to bind all four of her limbs — channeling her innate extraordinary power to ensure Sa absolutely could not get free.

Once all of that was done, Elysia looked at the pink-haired girl lying on the bed — who looked identical to herself — and couldn't help feeling rather smug.

"Hmph hmph hmph — Lucius, you've finally fallen into my hands! Let me think… how should I repay you for everything you've done to me..."

As she looked, Elysia found herself fixating on that face identical to her own. She walked up to the bed and gave it a pinch, sighing with amazement: "The resemblance is incredible!"

She could see that the girl lying on the bed was a perfect copy of herself.

Well — except for the weight. When she had been carrying her just now, Elysia had noticed: she weighed 0.2 kilograms more than herself.

"Speaking of which — where did those extra 0.2 kilograms go, exactly?"

Looking at Sa lying on the bed, Elysia regarded her like a life-sized doll of herself, and felt an irresistible surge of excitement.

And so, following instinct, she reached out with sinful hands.

"Hmph hmph — let me investigate exactly where this extra weight ended up~"

But just as her hands were extending toward their target, she saw 'Sa's' eyes give a faint tremor.

Having been knocked out by the divine power of the Herrscher of the Origin, Sa had been jostled around for a stretch of time and finally regained consciousness at this moment.

Upon waking, the very first thing she saw was this pink creature already reaching toward her with sinful hands.

Lucius's dead white moonlight has really come to kill me! — that was Sa's first thought.

But taking in the abnormal excitement on the other's face, and those hands reaching toward her, the color drained from Sa's face instantly.

This incomprehensible Earth creature was clearly plotting something indecent against her!

She was a deity of the Sea of Quanta! The hope of the Florscha civilization! How could she end up like a defeated female knight in an adult animation — being violated by this lecherous degenerate?!

She could not allow it! Absolutely not!

"Stay away from me!"

Sa shouted and tried to flee, but quickly discovered her body was tied up. All she could do was writhe and wriggle across the bed, trying to put distance between herself and Elysia.

"My, my — so even Lucius makes this kind of expression sometimes~?"

Sa quickly discovered that the more helpless she appeared, the more excited this obnoxious pink creature seemed to become...

Elysia smiled and pressed down on Sa, who kept squirming backward.

"Don't be shy~"

"You've already taken on my appearance — let me see just how accurate your disguise is!"

Sensing the impending horror of what was about to happen, Sa urgently cried: "Stop! I'm not Lucius!"

"Hm?" Elysia seemed momentarily thrown.

"I'm actually an extraterrestrial who disguised myself as his dead white moonlight — I really am not Lucius!"

"Oh, is that so..." Elysia withdrew her hands.

Sa exhaled in relief, grateful to have escaped the fate of being defiled.

But before she could even celebrate, Elysia suddenly lunged and pinned her down again!

"Lucius, do you think I'd fall for the same trick over and over?"

This time Elysia forced Sa into a kneeling position over a chair and secured her with the rope.

Very quickly, Sa found herself with her bottom raised in an extremely humiliating posture.

Through the clearly wiped and gleaming reflection of the window glass, she saw what Elysia was doing.

She watched her open the bag she had brought along, rummage inside for a moment, and produce a ruler the length of an arm.

Elysia swished the ruler through the air a few times, a series of sharp whooshing sounds following each swing. She nodded in satisfaction.

"Wait — what are you going to do?!" Sa's expression changed drastically.

"Of course I'm going to give back everything you once did to me~"

"Be good now. Don't move."

Elysia slapped the ruler against her other palm. The crisp sound that followed hit Sa's ears like the sound of her dignity being torn to shreds.

"You… don't go too far! A warrior may be killed but not humiliated!" Sa said, trying to sound fierce but failing entirely.

And Elysia's response was the ruler raised high in her hand.

Smack!

Sa's body jolted. A surge of overwhelming humiliation washed over her, utterly trampling the dignity of a deity of the Sea of Quanta underfoot.

"Enough! You detestable Earthling — the authority of a god of Venus must not be insulted!"

Smack!

"I am a deity of the Sea of Quanta — you cannot treat me this way!"

Smack!

The sound of strikes rang out again and again. Elysia felt all the frustration of being suppressed by Lucius over the years releasing at once — her whole body felt refreshed and invigorated.

But for Sa, every fall of the ruler drove another crack into her dignity. This humiliation was, if anything, even worse than being defeated by the diversity of the human species earlier.

"I said — ENOUGH!!!"

Even the mildest person has their limits. To be humiliated to this degree by an Earthling — Sa's reason finally snapped entirely.

Even at the risk of being erased by the Cocoon of Finality, she would make this wretched pink-haired creature pay.

And so she unleashed the power she had sealed away.

When Elysia raised the ruler to swing again, she was suddenly sent stumbling back several steps by an immensely powerful force.

With the unsealing of her power, Sa effortlessly snapped the ropes.

Then, before Elysia could react, Sa launched the previously sealed power directly — and a spiritual attack saturated with furious rage crashed squarely into the top of Elysia's head.

"I'll kill you!!!"

BOOM!

A spiritual attack powerful enough to interfere with physical reality landed in Elysia's sea of consciousness.

But what was utterly astonishing was that after taking a hit of this magnitude, Elysia merely swayed on her feet — she did not have her brain exploded out of her skull as Sa had intended.

"Damn — what kind of monster is this?!" Sa muttered under her breath.

She had originally intended to blast the Earthling who had trampled her dignity into dust, and simultaneously silence her about what had just happened — but given the circumstances, running was clearly the priority!

"Detestable Earthling — I will be back!" Saying that, she took advantage of Elysia's momentary stun and bolted through the door.

By the time Elysia recovered, all that remained was a doorframe. She pressed a hand to her head, gave a slight unsteady sway, and furrowed her brow.

It would be impossible to say that Sa's spiritual attack had left her entirely unaffected. Sa had hurled virtually all of her unsealed power at once — and even with her innate divine strength blocking it, she had still taken considerable damage.

But compared to her own condition, Elysia was more concerned about something else entirely.

"Wait — that might not have been Lucius!" The expression on Elysia's face shifted to one of alarm. "Oh no — did I really grab the wrong person?"

Thinking back on what she had just done, Elysia felt the world go dark before her eyes.

"I have to go apologize immediately."

Elysia didn't hesitate. She charged out through what was now just an empty doorframe.

Hotel front desk.

Miss Elsa was eating chips when a heavy set of footsteps suddenly came from inside the hotel. She reflexively turned her head — and saw a pink-haired girl sprinting toward her, clutching an entire door.

Like a gust of wind, she shot past Miss Elsa's field of vision and out of the hotel in an instant.

Crunch.

The chip Miss Elsa had just put in her mouth fell back out.

"Wh-what on earth was that?!"

Before she could even recover from her shock —

Elysia came charging out right after, stopped a few steps outside, then turned around and came back to the counter, pushing several banknotes across it.

"I'm sorry — this is to cover the damages."

Saying that, she turned and bolted back out without a moment's hesitation, leaving Miss Elsa alone in the turbulence the two of them had kicked up, thoroughly bewildered.

Perhaps because stopping to pay the hotel compensation had cost her a few seconds, by the time Elysia left the hotel she found she had lost track of her target.

At her normal speed this should never have happened — but the attack just now had left her somewhat injured.

Elysia pressed a hand to her head, a pained expression crossing her face.

After taking Sa's powerful attack head-on, even her robust constitution was struggling to cope.

"This is really troublesome." Elysia's face pinched with resignation. She felt like the most unlucky person alive.

At least there were no powerful enemies nearby right now. In her current state, running into even an Emperor-class Honkai Beast would be a serious problem.

"I should head back and wait for my strength to fully recover..."

Then, at the moment she turned to leave, a flash of pink caught the edge of Elysia's vision.

"Wait — hold on!" Elysia immediately gave chase, and very quickly spotted the pink figure.

When she got close enough to see properly, Elysia found that the figure had a face identical to her own. It was the very person she had just injured.

Just how many people in this world have the same face as me?!

Elysia grumbled internally — so distracted that she failed to notice the 'Elysia' in front of her was wearing an expression of surprise, along with a hint of poorly concealed delight.

But Elysia noticed none of this. She rushed up and grabbed the other's arm with both hands.

"I'm so sorry — I mistook you for someone else. Please, I'm begging you — give me a chance to make it up to you."

"Heh… those are your own words, you know~?"

Hm?

Elysia suddenly felt something was off.

"Wait — this unsettling feeling..."

She was just about to look up when a sharp sting erupted from the back of her neck.

Thud!

Elysia collapsed and did not get back up.

"That went even more smoothly than expected~"

This person was none other than the Faded Elf, who had rushed over upon catching wind of the situation. Knowing how much Elysia rejected her, she had deliberately changed her hair and eye color to match Elysia's, to prevent Elysia from spotting her and immediately fleeing.

But she hadn't expected things to go this smoothly at all!

"Heh heh heh — Elysia, my Elysia. You've finally fallen into my hands."

Hotel front desk.

Miss Elsa, having finished filing the damage report, resumed eating her chips. But her mind kept involuntarily drifting back to those two girls who had run out.

"I wonder what happened to those two girls."

At that moment, footsteps came from outside the hotel.

Miss Elsa looked up — and found the two girls had come back.

"You two..."

"Hello, one twin room please."

Seeing Miss Elsa frozen in place, the Faded Elf propped Elysia up with one arm, tapped the counter with her other hand, and raised her voice: "Hello — I'd like a twin room, please!"

"Ah — yes, of course!"
