Hellfire Club!?
Scott was shocked.
He was no stranger to this name; Professor X had mentioned this organization before.
It was said to be a special organization composed of Mutant elites and powerful figures, with immense influence. Everyone within it was a talent, and they had even extended an olive branch to Professor X and Magneto.
However, Professor X flatly refused due to his principles. Magneto had joined briefly, but later discovered that the members were merely mediocre people chasing money and power. Feeling it tarnished his own prestige, he chose to quit halfway through.
However, the Hellfire Club had fallen apart back in the twentieth century and had vanished for many years.
Scott never expected that this organization would make a comeback, and at such a critical moment, suddenly appearing and brazenly claiming they would take over their school.
"This is private property. No matter who you are, please leave immediately."
Scott's voice was steady, showing no signs of panic.
He was worthy of being the X-Men Captain personally certified by Professor X.
Although the entire X-Men at the X-Mansion were just the three of them, plus the intern Logan, making it at most four people.
"That's not up to you. Now you only have two choices: either hand the place over obediently, or we beat you all down and then make you hand it over obediently."
Darian's attitude was extremely arrogant, perfectly embodying the detestable face of a villain.
Scott and the others were furious upon hearing this.
They had seen arrogance before, but never anything this arrogant.
Especially Logan, whose temper had always been fiery; he couldn't hold back any longer.
He stepped forward, six Adamantium Claws popping out from between his knuckles, and snarled at Darian: "If you dare take one more step inside, I will cut you into pieces!"
"You're not even worth me making a move."
Darian chuckled and pointed to Old Logan beside him: "This is the White soldier of our Hellfire Club. He is the weakest one in the organization and is usually responsible for cleaning the toilets. If you can defeat him, we can give up on taking over this place. But if you fail, you must agree to one condition of ours."
"Fine!"
Young Logan hesitated for a moment, then chose to agree.
Although he had a hot temper, he was not a completely reckless person.
Not to mention that the three people in front of him clearly weren't easy to deal with, there was also a Telepathy user lurking in the shadows.
Magneto could beat him like a three-year-old child, and Professor X could directly turn him into a three-year-old child. He was simply no match for them, let alone the fact that the opponent was even more powerful than Professor X.
If a single duel could make the other side retreat voluntarily, that would be the best possible outcome.
Old Logan whispered: "This is not what we agreed upon."
Darian waved his hand: "What are you afraid of? It's just the right time to test the mettle of the X-Men in this World."
After they traveled to this parallel Universe, Charles discovered that there were traces of the X-Men in this World.
For them, desperately in need of a stable base, where else could be more suitable than Charles's own headquarters, Xaviers School for Gifted Youngsters?
That place was practically a sanctuary tailor-made for them; they didn't even need to settle down, because that was their most familiar home.
So they made up their minds to head straight to the Xavier Mansion, see for themselves what the X-Men of this World looked like, and then decide how to negotiate.
But considering that Professor X and Wolverine also existed in this World, it was inconvenient for Charles and Old Logan to appear directly. One chose to stay on the bus, and the other put on a Wolverine cosplay suit to hide his face.
At this moment, how could Old Logan not see through Darian's thoughts?
"Testing the mettle," it was purely an excuse to watch some entertainment, and the entertainment was himself.
"Exactly, exactly. Jean is watching right here. You wouldn't want to be shown up in front of her by another version of yourself, would you?" Wade joined in, egging him on.
Old Logan immediately denied it: "Don't talk nonsense. I have nothing to do with Jean."
Darian laughed: "You can lie to your brothers, but don't lie to yourself. You've been staring at Jean since the beginning. Didn't you see that cyclops's face turn green?"
Scott: (Ah) For some reason, he felt his head getting heavier and heavier.
Watching the young and vigorous version of himself opposite him, staring intently at him with both eyes, Old Logan sighed, feeling a bit weary.
"Little wolf cub, I advise you to be quiet and don't force me to make a move."
"Just based on you?"
Logan was very disdainful and sneered: "A rat in hiding who doesn't even dare to show his face. Is it because you're terrifyingly ugly that you chose to wear a mask?"
Old Logan: "... Please just shut up. Don't you see those two bastards watching the show on the side, their shoulders are already starting to shake?"
He stopped wasting his breath and directly raised his right arm. Under Young Logan's incredulous gaze, he extended six bone claws.
"What the f***?"
Young Logan's expression was instantly replaced by astonishment.
He looked at his own Adamantium Claws, then at Old Logan's bone claws, and an incredible thought flashed through his mind.
"How can your ability be so similar to mine? Could it be that you are my... long-lost brother?"
Old Logan: "..."
Logan at this point in time was in a state of amnesia, completely unaware of his past memories, and even thought that his steel-reinforced body was innate. Seeing that Old Logan's ability was so similar to his own, he immediately regarded him as his brother.
Darian nodded: "That's right. Let me formally introduce him. This is your half-brother, Sabretooth Victor. In your early years, you brothers fought side by side, participated in countless battles together, and served in the Mutant special operations team under William Stryker."
"Later, you couldn't stand the team's cruel atrocities and chose to quit. Because of this, Victor held a grudge against you and killed your fiancée. In your anger, you fought him to the death for three hundred rounds, and in the end, you were hit in the head by Stryker with Adamantium in the chaos, losing all your memories."
Young Logan: "What... What!? I actually had a fiancée!? And she was killed by my own brother!?"
Young Logan vaguely felt that what Darian said was not a fabrication, but something that had actually happened, but he always felt like something was not quite right.
But regardless, Young Logan was completely enraged.
"Go to hell!" Young Logan, ignoring Scott's signal to stop, angrily rushed towards Old Logan.
Before Old Logan could speak, Young Logan's Adamantium Claws pierced into his chest, blood splattering everywhere.
Thus, he was also provoked into a ferocity; his bone claws popped out violently, and he unleashed a frenzy of slashes at Young Logan.
The two wolves fought in one place, claw lights crisscrossing, blood splattering, the scene was extremely brutal.
After stoking the fire, Darian immediately retreated to a safe distance to watch the show, took out a large bucket of popcorn, and while eating, asked: "Two Logans from different Worlds, who do you bet will win?"
Wade reached out and grabbed a handful of popcorn from the bucket, stuffing it into the mouth area of his hood without looking, not caring if he could eat it or not.
He commented with great interest: "I bet on this World's Logan. He's young and strong, doesn't know how to restrain himself, and just goes all out, unlike the old guy who holds back everywhere and can only use technique to make up for his lack of strength."
"But the old guy has more experience and often understands things instantly, unlike the young man who only knows how to use brute force." Darian had a different opinion on this.
Watching the two guys eating popcorn and watching the show, Scott and the other two frowned.
Ororo couldn't help but speak up: "That is your companion. Are you not at all worried about his safety?"
Darian chuckled: "If he dies, it just means he's too weak and not suitable to stay in the Hellfire Club. It wouldn't be a pity if he died."
Of course, that was assuming Old Logan could actually die.
But Scott and the others didn't know this, and the coldness of Darian's words made their hearts run cold.
If he treated his own people this way, let alone them.
They must never let the school fall into the hands of such people!
Scott didn't want to stake everything on Young Logan, so he whispered: "Jean, Ororo, watch for my signal later."
Jean: "..."
Ororo: "....."
You're probably trying to make things difficult for us.
The battle on the field had entered a white-hot stage. Young Logan was not that fake X-24; his Healing Factor was not at all weaker than Old Logan's, and with the addition of Adamantium, his stats far exceeded Old Logan's. In a head-on confrontation, he was simply no match for Young Logan.
But he succeeded because of Adamantium, and failed because of Adamantium.
Young Logan relied too much on this steel-reinforced body, which led to his fighting style being straightforward, relying entirely on crushing power. His moves were wide open, so the openings were naturally large.
Old Logan deliberately left an opening, and Young Logan rushed up as expected.
He seized the timing, sidestepped, and his right bone claw went from bottom to top, using a move of the Nine Yin White Bone Claw against Young Logan's peaches.
"Awoo—!" Young Logan let out a miserable scream, curling up and kneeling on the ground, his face deathly pale.
Darian gasped: "Old Wolf is really unscrupulous; he's so ruthless even to himself."
Wade added in the side: "Understand him. This is clearly to prevent another version of himself from stealing Jean; he's eliminating the competitor in advance."
Old Logan glared at the two of them fiercely, but didn't have time to retort.
He didn't hesitate at all, and while Young Logan lost his ability to resist, he gathered all his strength and punched the side of his head.
Bang! After a heavy dull sound, Young Logan's body went limp, and he passed out completely.
Being young is good; he fell asleep the moment he hit the ground.
"Now!" Scott immediately signaled Jean and Ororo, his fingers quickly reaching for his special glasses, preparing to launch a righteous sneak attack while they were relaxed.
However, his movements suddenly froze in mid-air.
Not just him, Jean's hands that had just been raised, and the faint electric light emerging around Ororo, also froze simultaneously.
The three of them stood frozen in place, motionless, as if their souls had been suddenly sucked out.
Crap! It was the Telepathy user in the shadows who made a move!
Scott and the others' moods instantly hit rock bottom, a sense of desperate powerlessness surging in their hearts.
They didn't even have the ability to resist; how could they fight back?
"Hehehe, it seems you have lost." Darian let out a hearty laugh and clapped his hands: "Since that's the case, this place belongs to our Hellfire Club to take over. Charles, you be the person in charge here."
Charles? Scott and the other two couldn't help but be stunned. Why did this name sound a bit familiar?
"Alright." A gentle voice came from not far away. They saw Charles sitting in a wheelchair, with little Laura pushing him from behind, slowly appearing before everyone's eyes.
"Pro... Professor!?" Scott, Jean, and Ororo were instantly dumbfounded. Professor X was clearly lying in the medical room; how could he suddenly appear here!?
But very quickly they discovered something wrong. This Professor X in front of them was obviously much older than the Professor X they knew, with so many wrinkles on his face that they could crush flies.
"No, my wrinkles cannot crush flies." Charles stared at Scott kindly, making Scott's hair stand on end.
"Professor, I'm sor..." Scott subconsciously wanted to apologize, but immediately realized: "No! You are not the Professor! Who on earth are you!?"
Although the two had the same appearance and the same abilities, he could still distinguish the difference between them. Moreover, Professor X was still lying in the medical room, so this person in front of him could not possibly be the Professor X they knew.
Charles smiled: "In fact, I am indeed Professor X, just not the one you know."
"Wha... What do you mean?"
Charles didn't answer, but shared a clip of edited memories with the three of them. The missing X-Men, the end of the age for Mutants, the tragic old age of Charles and Logan, genetically modified food...
After absorbing all the memory fragments, the three of them were all stunned in place. The amount of information in these memory fragments was simply too large, making their brains about to crash.
After a long while, they gradually pulled themselves out of those shocking memories, their breathing somewhat disordered.
Jean looked at Charles with eyes full of disbelief: "In other words, you are the Professor from another Universe."
"Yes." Charles nodded calmly, his eyes filled with the peace of having experienced everything.
Jean's gaze turned to Old Logan: "Then he is..."
Old Logan took off his mask, revealing a face exactly the same as Young Logan's. "Long time no see, Jean."
Scott: (Ah) Long time no see with whom? You've only just met in this World, okay!?
Scott's face turned green.
Sure enough, no matter which World Logan is from, he is just as annoying.
Darian kicked the Young Logan on the ground, waking him up directly.
Before Young Logan could react, a surge of memories suddenly flooded into his mind, even more than the memories of the three Scotts, directly causing Young Logan's brain to smoke.
"This..." Young Logan was dumbfounded, looking like a retarded child.
After a long while, he turned his head to look at Old Logan, his expression stiff: "Are you my future?"
Old Logan shook his head: "Not exactly. To be precise, I am you from a parallel Universe, just one of the possible futures you might head towards. This future is not inevitable, and after we came to this Universe, the future is very likely to change, just like the butterfly effect; a small butterfly can cause a storm."
Young Logan: "???"
He blinked his eyes, his face full of "What the hell are you talking about."
This is the most obvious difference between the two Logans: the difference in education level, a natural generation gap.
