The afternoon sun hung high over the quiet village, casting a warm golden glow over the volunteer camp. Most of the students were busy carrying supplies, sorting donated clothes, or helping villagers with small chores. Laughter drifted through the air as everyone worked together.
Not far away, Juri was helping stack cartons inside the temporary storeroom when someone suddenly called out from behind him.
"Juri! Come here!"
Another volunteer waved his phone in the air.
"Your phone has been ringing nonstop!"
Juri blinked in surprise.
"My phone?"
He hurried over, wiping the dust from his hands before accepting it.
"Thanks."
The screen showed several missed calls from his aunt.
His heart skipped a beat.
Did something happen at home?
Without wasting another second, he quickly returned the call. The phone rang twice before it was answered.
"Hello?"
"Aunt, how are you? Is everything alright?"
A familiar cheerful voice came from the other side.
"I'm doing well, dear."
