The filming location had finally been prepared.
Cameras stood in place beneath bright studio lights while assistants hurried back and forth, making final adjustments. Someone checked the microphones, another arranged the props, and the makeup artists gave the actors one last touch-up.
The first scene involving Yun Hu was about to begin.
Director Zhao walked over with the printed script and handed a copy to Liang Chen and Song Rouran.
"This will be the first scene," he explained. "Nothing complicated. Just follow the script naturally."
Song Rouran nodded before crouching beside Liang Chen, who was holding the fluffy white kitten.
The two of them surrounded Yun Hu like two overly worried parents discussing their child's first day of school.
Liang Chen gently stroked Yun Hu's soft head.
"Protect her, okay?"
Yun Hu lazily opened one eye before giving a quiet, sleepy purr.
Mrr... I'll try.
Liang Chen looked at that completely unmotivated little face and sighed.
