Aqua's work as a dispatch agent also went smoothly, she now would go alone to her site while twighlight went the other way or to do other things.
One day, twighlight was late, so Snow put her favorite recitation of the holy book and as she was mesmerized by it, then she heard a breathless apology, she waved it off and asked the exact direction for today's task.
"Can I go with you this time?"
Twighlight asked pitifully. Though Snow was bewildered, she still allowed him to come with her. Today they were distributing goods in the slums. They had to take the goods from Dahiya station and distribute it in Kalsh district. After reaching halfway, there was a tug on Snow's skirt and she saw twighlight on his knees beside her, she quickly crouched down beside him and asked if he was okay.
"I am really sorry, I don't think I can make it there, I don't have the energy"
He said weakly, breathless from the exertion. Snow called the second prince's number but it was received by the emperor instead. She quickly greeted him amd explained the situation. He paused for a moment and asked if she could take care of him until someone becomes free at his end. She had no choice but to agree. She conjured a mat of fluffed snow. The coldness of the ice mat was like that of cold glass and could help dissipate his fever. She brought medicine and water from a nearby pharmacy and placed it in ice crockery she made and thought for a while, she finally made up her mind to finish the task at hand. She took twighlight with her all the way to kalsh district. The train heading there helped her a lot, so she kept an amount of three train tickets at the reception with a note of thanks. At the site, she entrusted twighlight to a clinic, in a safe place and asked some teenagers to guard him, promising a good reward of 10 dinar. She generously used her ice powers and effortlessly finished the task at hand in two hours. She looked at the poweful aura which the setting sun gave and decided to head to the clinic to wait for the other agent. She didn't invade Twighlight's privacy and sat outside his room's door listening to another recitation. She then went to check on him and noticed the color change in the bedding, it was turning into a blue-iridescent from the original snow color. This happened when she was exhausted or dehydrated or not well. In this case it was dehydration, she hoped that the agent would come soon. The time for the call to prayer was very near and she didn't want to miss the soothing effect it had on her heart, at times she would not pay attention to it but at other times, when her heart was in turmoil she would close her eyes and heal by every word. At the same time, the thought that they had only discovered the call to prayer weighed heavily in her heart. She thought if the call to it was so heart softening then how must it be to pray the prayer. Snow was so lost in thought that she didn't notice the figures approaching her. To her surprise, the emperor was standing in front of her.
"Where is twighlight?"
He asked worried. She told him he was inside the room and immediately the ice going back to Snow's hand, she led him inside. He asked the two men who accompanied him to take twighlight and leave. He turned towards Snow and said
"It's been a while, little ice cube"
chuckling. Embarrassed at her nickname being so famous that even the emperor knew, fidgeting with her phone, she asked if he wanted to discuss something with her. He looked at the girl in front of him, who would have thought that this was the same little girl who was trembling in his arms ten years ago. He sighed and gave her an elegant gold pen.
"It's my gift to you for our meeting"
he said as he left.
Snow didn't notice anything out of the ordinary but little did she know, the pen had an inbuilt camera monitoring her every move.
