Chapter 39. New Relations
"Let me introduce them. Luna is the big sister, very healthy and outgoing," the gorilla chief announced.
Walking in a circle around the fire was a girl clad in fur clothes. Her skin was a little tanned from the sun, and she carried a defensive, almost arrogant expression.
"And here is the little sister, Celine. She is a bit timid, but she has a calm temperament." Walking close beside Luna, about three steps behind, was a girl with a slightly lighter skin shade.
She looked incredibly shy, refusing to face anyone in the crowd, her eyes glued to the dirt.
I turned back to our leader. "Why? What do you mean the circumstances are difficult?"
"Eh... Lily, twin females are rare, and usually, they don't live past adulthood," Tigris tried to explain calmly, leaning down toward me.
"Also, because these two lost their mother at birth, they are typically much weaker than the average female due to the absence of a mother's early care."
