Voren couldn't hold his questions back any longer. The moment he stepped into the VIP ward, his eyes locked straight onto Seraphine.
She sat on the edge of the hospital bed, still reeling from the whirlwind of everything that had just exploded in that room. Doctor Finn stood close by, while Kael leaned against the wall with his arms crossed, tension humming through all of them.
"Sera," Voren said softly as he moved closer. "Can you tell us more about Madison and Einstein?"
Seraphine blinked hard, the sudden question slamming into her like a curveball. Confusion twisted across her face as she glanced between Voren and Doctor Finn. "What?"
Doctor Finn caught on immediately that she had no clue where this was coming from. A gentle smile pressed his lips into a think line. "It's alright," he said, adjusting his glasses with a reassuring nod. "I already know."
