Ravyn didn't react at all. Daisy's voice might as well have vanished into thin air for how much attention he paid it. His gaze stayed completely locked on Seraphine, unable to tear himself away from the breathtaking woman sitting so comfortably in the chair that was supposed to belong to Voren.
A sharp sting of jealousy pierced straight through Daisy's chest. She clenched her hands tight, forcing a smile that never came close to reaching her eyes. When Ravyn refused to even acknowledge her, she turned directly toward Seraphine instead.
"Sera." Her voice carried loud and clear across the room. "That seat is already taken. It's reserved for Alpha Voren."
The second the words left her mouth, whispers exploded through the hall. Several Lunas exchanged knowing glances before leaning in to share their thoughts.
"Daisy really never learns."
"If I were her, I'd keep my mouth shut after everything that happened last night."
"Exactly."
"She's only making herself look worse."
