While chaos kept unfolding inside the banquet hall, Voren noticed two Alphas quietly slipping toward the men's restroom.
The timing alone was enough to raise every red flag in his mind. Instead of heading back to Seraphine's side like he should have, he changed direction without a second thought and followed them.
Just as his hand reached the restroom door, voices drifted through from the other side and made him stop cold.
"I really think the Moon Goddess is paying us back for sleeping with that bitch? I never forced her."
The second Alpha snorted, the sound thick with arrogance. "Forget her. The only person we should blame is that wild she-wolf, Sera. I actually liked her. Hell, I even wished she'd turn out to be my mate but who would've thought she'd be this smart? She's dragging every one of us into this mess."
Another laugh bounced off the tiled walls. "Sera would've been my dream mate too."
Voren's eyes narrowed to slits as the familiar voices continued to speak.
