Tenshi answers him with a gaze as cold as ice.
"Khaki, I have strict orders to rescue all the sorcerers who emerged from the fake world. I am simply fulfilling my mission."
They touch down at Tokyo Station. She sets him gently on the ground, locks eyes with him one last time, and speaks:
"Whatever you did... it is not your fault."
With a swift motion, she ascends back into the heavens, vanishing into the clouds. Left behind, Khaki breaks down, sobbing uncontrollably as he slams his bleeding fists against the concrete.
"I... I'm the one who's to blame for everything! I just want to die... I don't want to live anymore!
A hand reaches out to rest on Khaki's shoulders. It was Tokugawa. He whispers that his fate has not arrived yet. Calm down now. You will not die right now, and it is not your fault at all.
Khaki lifts his head. His knees are trembling. But... it is my fault. Everything. I would rather be dead than alive. I did everything. I let them do it. If I had not been slow, something like this would never have happened.
