The lift continued rising toward the Continuity Vault while Eirenne sorted the information copied from the Human Continuance Matrix.
At first, she said nothing.
Aurelian noticed because she normally shared important findings as soon as she confirmed them.
This time, her projection remained beside the lift wall with several layers of old records moving behind her eyes.
"What did you find?" he asked.
"The matrix opened part of its historical archive after completing your examination."
Rhoswen looked toward her.
"Was it waiting to make sure he was Human again?"
"No. It was waiting to confirm that he was an active commander with a stable fleet connection."
Astra stood beside Aurelian.
"Why does that matter?"
"I am still sorting the answer."
The lift passed the final lower level and entered the Continuity Vault. The doors opened onto the wide storage chamber, where construction frames and cargo units continued moving toward the upper transport routes.
