Chapter 43 - chapter 38 humiliation

In the soft, warm light of the afternoon, Soha sat alone on the lush green grass of the island's steep hillside. A cool ocean breeze tossed her hair, and she still wore Adrik's oversized white shirt. Perched high on the cliffside, looking down, the boundless blue sea seemed to stretch endlessly beneath her feet. Amidst the roar of the waves and the vastness of nature, her own world remained trapped in confinement and emptiness.

Suddenly, footsteps crushed the grass behind her.

Before she could even turn, Adrik appeared. His eyes burned with a raw, blind fury. Perhaps it was the memory of seeing her cold indifference earlier, or the maddening realization that he could never truly own her heart, that woke the sleeping beast inside him once again.

Without a single word of warning

CRACK.

With a brutal, sweeping force, Adrik's hand struck Soha across the cheek in a savage slap.

The sheer impact whipped Soha's head to the side. The sleeve of the white shirt slipped slightly off her shoulder, and her soft cheek instantly turned bright red and swelled. The sharp echo of the blow bounced off the cliffs and vanished into the sea breeze.

Soha nearly collapsed onto the grass. A thin line of crimson blood trickled from the corner of her lip. But she did not cry. Slowly, she lifted her head. There was no fear in her eyes only a hatred as unyielding as the mountains and as cold as the deep sea.

Adrik stood breathing heavily, his hands trembling with rage.

Adrik (bursting with fury):

"Where does this endless arrogance come from, Soha? I can destroy you, or I can keep you breathing! Who were you looking at just now? The sea? Or the ghost of your dead family? Never forget from this mountain peak to the depths of the ocean, I own everything here!"

A bitter, mocking smile touched Soha's blood-stained lips. That single smile made Adrik's chest tighten with a sudden, agonizing jolt.

Soha (in a cold, steely voice):

"An owner? You can only trap my body, Adrik. This slap... it's just proof of your fleeting, terrified power. Go on... hit me all you want. But remember, every time you raise your hand against me, the hatred inside my heart turns harder than stone."

Adrik stood frozen. He had wanted to see terror in Soha's eyes, but instead, he saw a fire that threatened to burn his entire kingdom to ash. Across the green hillside and the vast expanse of the sea, there was no sign of life other than the wind. But Adrik's eyes grew sharp with suspicion, scanning the surrounding cliffs to ensure no hidden guard or servant was watching from a distance.

He quickly cast a cautious look all around. The mountain path was completely empty. With the sound of the crashing waves below being the only noise, and fully assured that they were alone, Adrik's wild fury twisted into something even darker.

Without a single word, he unbuckled the leather belt from his waist. The heavy leather made a soft rustling sound as he pulled it free.

Soha stood her ground, her lip still stained with a trace of blood. A momentary shiver ran through her at the sight of the belt in his hand, but the next second, the cold hatred in her eyes blazed even brighter. She didn't retreat a single step.

Adrik (in a harsh, vicious whisper):

"Did you think you could raise your head and defy me after that slap, Soha? Today, I'll show you where that arrogance gets you. With this mountain as our witness, I'll crush this rebellious spirit of yours with my own hands!"

Holding the belt, he stepped toward her. Yet, Soha didn't budge an inch. She locked her gaze directly into Adrik's eyes making it clear that while her body could be bruised, her spirit would never bow.

Against the wind-swept cliffside, amidst the roaring sea and raw tension, Adrik's blind fury suddenly shifted into a deep, intense obsession. Soha didn't budge an inch, the unyielding fire still burning in her eyes—a look that only fueled Adrik's fierce desire rather than cooling his anger.

The leather belt slipped from his hand, clattering against the rocky ground. His gaze burned with fierce possessiveness and untamed hunger. With a sudden jerk, he pulled Soha hard against him, leaving no space between them. The icy hatred in Soha's eyes turned into a raging storm, but the unyielding grip of Adrik's arms and the heat of his breath began to transform the very language of her resistance.

Below them, the waves crashed violently against the rocks, and in that secluded corner of the mountain, the intense clash of their opposing souls forged a new path where the lines between hatred and desire blurred completely. Amidst the roaring sea and the wind sweeping across the mountain ridge, Adrik's fury reached its absolute peak. To shatter the icy hatred and rebellious gaze burning in Soha's eyes, he closed the final distance between them, asserting his complete dominance against the desolate, rugged backdrop of nature.

There was nothing gentle or romantic about their union it was a destructive, consuming collision of two opposing forces. Every touch of Adrik's carried an overwhelming possessiveness, as if he sought to crush every ounce of Soha's resistance and carve his existence into her very soul. Though a tremor ran through Soha's body, the fire within her refused to extinguish. She didn't beg for mercy or yield an inch; instead, her ragged breath and fierce defiance spoke of an untamed, primal stubbornness that refused to break.

Down below, the ocean waves crashed violently against the rocky shore, echoing the wild, tumultuous rhythm of their encounter. Caught in a labyrinth of hatred, fury, and raw attraction, they crossed a threshold from which there was no turning back. Amidst the roaring sea and the isolated, rugged expanse of the mountain, Adrik's fury and raw possessiveness reached their absolute zenith. Driven by an overwhelming urge to assert his complete dominance and break every ounce of her defiance, he shifted her posture, pulling her into a prone position as he took her from behind. There was nothing gentle or tender about the moment; it was a primal, dominating clash born of pure intensity.

Adrik's strong hands gripped her waist firmly, anchoring her against the cold, unyielding stone as he pressed into her with heavy, rhythmic thrusts that echoed against the cliffside. The harsh wind whipped around them, carrying the heavy sound of their ragged breathing and the violent crashing of the waves far below.

Even in this completely vulnerable position, Soha refused to break. Though her body absorbed the force of his relentless movements, her fists clenched tightly against the earth, and the fire in her eyes remained unquenched. She offered no submission and sought no mercy; every breath she drew was a silent testament to an iron will that refused to bow to his coercion, binding them both in a dark, volatile storm of mutual defiance and consuming heat. With every heavy, relentless thrust from Adrik, the desolate cliffside seemed to shudder. Soha's body could no longer endure the sheer physical strain and raw intensity of the assault. Tears welled up in her eyes, spilling over to trace hot paths down her flushed cheeks. Unable to bear the overwhelming pain any longer, her voice broke into a desperate, tearful plea:

"A... ahh... slower... please, I can't take any more... ahhh..."

Yet, far from softening him, Soha's tears and breaking voice only fueled the dark, volatile fire burning inside Adrik. His jaw tightened into a hard line, and his movements turned even more fierce and unyielding. Gripping a handful of her hair, he pulled her head back slightly, leaning down to whisper directly against her ear in a harsh, menacing growl:

"Why are you crying now, Soha? This pride was entirely your own creation! When you dared to challenge me, did you forget what the price would be? Today, I am going to crush every last piece of that defiance... you will take it all!"

The roaring of the ocean below swallowed up the final echoes of their voices, leaving only the wild, tempestuous rhythm of their struggle against the wind.

Soha suddenly tried to wrench herself away, throwing her weight forward with every ounce of remaining strength to slip free from Adrik's grip. But her abrupt movement and desperate attempt to escape only ignited a fresh, explosive wave of fury within him.

In a fraction of a second, Adrik's hand shot out, clamping down mercilessly around her waist to anchor her in place. Giving her zero space to breathe or retreat, he hauled her violently backward against him, pinning her tight as if trying to fuse her body into the cold stone beneath them.

Adrik (clenching his teeth, his voice a cold, terrifying growl):

"Where do you think you're going, Soha? You can't escape me. Every single time you try to pull away, this hell will only drag you deeper!"

His chilling threat made the heavy wind sweeping across the cliffside feel even more suffocating, driving their volatile struggle toward an unforgiving climax.

Unable to overpower Adrik's overwhelming and unyielding strength, Soha finally shattered, a volatile mix of raw fury and bitter anguish breaking through her resistance. Tears still tracked down her flushed cheeks, but the fire in her eyes hadn't dimmed—it had transformed into a profound, suffocating disgust. Struggling slightly beneath his tight grip, she twisted her head back and hurled every ounce of her hatred directly into his face:

"Let me go! Do you have any humanity left at all? Do you not understand anything in this world other than physical abuse and sex? Is your only purpose in life just revenge and satisfying your animalistic ego like a beast?"

Soha's sharp, direct accusation didn't soften Adrik; instead, it made his gaze turn pitch-black and dangerously volatile. The muscles in his jaw tightened sharply, throbbing with suppressed fury. He didn't take her bitter question as a weakness—it only fueled his ruthless possessiveness even further.

Adrik (whispering right against her ear in an ice-cold, razor-sharp voice):

"Sex? Is that what you think this is, Soha? No, you're wrong... this isn't just sex. This is the exact price you pay for that arrogant tongue and that stubborn defiance of yours! Until every last spark of rebellion inside you burns down to ashes, you will find no escape from this body, and no mercy from this hell."

The wild wind howling across the mountain ridge and the violent crashing of the ocean waves below wrapped around their heated exchange, rendering the atmosphere even more ruthless and untamed. After the destructive storm of their clash finally settled against the quiet, wind-swept cliffside, the heavy air hung in absolute silence, broken only by the distant, rhythmic crashing of the waves below.

Adrik slowly stepped back, pulling away from Soha's motionless form. With cold, unhurried movements, he adjusted his trousers, fastening his belt and buttons as if the wild, consuming intensity they had just shared was nothing more than a casual, routine matter. He glanced down at Soha, who lay exhausted against the unyielding stone, a twisted, satisfied smirk curving across his lips.

Leaning in closer, he reached out, trailing a hand over her disheveled hair to push it away from her face, his voice dropping into a low, predatory murmur laced with arrogance:

"Every inch of this gorgeous body belongs exclusively to me, Soha. You know, possessing a seductive, perfectly shaped figure like yours... making love to a body like this just hits different. The addiction to it is unreal. No matter how much anger you put on display, at the end of the day, tasting this flesh of yours is an entirely different kind of high."

His blunt, taunting words cut sharply through the chill mountain air, leaving the atmosphere thick with tension as a fierce, unquenchable fire of pure retribution continued to burn in Soha's eyes.

Even amidst the overwhelming rage, physical exhaustion, and lingering shock, the sheer audacity of his words sent a sudden rush of humiliated heat flooding straight to Soha's face, turning her cheeks a deep, burning crimson. Clenching her fists against the cold earth, a mix of utter disbelief and acute mortification flared inside her, forcing her to push back with a shaky, furious voice:

Soha (her voice trembling with a mix of shame and burning anger, gasping for breath):

"You... you shameless monster! What do you even get out of humiliating me like this? Does dragging me down and treating me like an object give you some pathetic kind of peace? What do you actually achieve by doing all of this?!"

Her red face, flushed from a volatile cocktail of physical exhaustion, wounded pride, and sheer embarrassment, only added a striking, raw vulnerability to her defiant glare, making the fierce clash between them burn even brighter against the desolate cliffside.

Gathering whatever strength she had left, Soha clumsily adjusted her disheveled clothes and forced herself up from the cold ground. Traces of tears still stained her flushed face, mingling with a deep, suffocating mix of humiliation and lingering rage. With unsteady steps, she walked toward the precipice of the cliff, where the edge dropped off into the vast, roaring expanse of the sea below.

The wild mountain wind whipped violently through her hair, billowing around her as she stood right at the very edge, where there was nowhere left to go. Framed against the open sky and the endless, churning ocean, she cut a solitary and defiant figure. Even though she could feel Adrik's sharp, predatory gaze burning into her back, she refused to look back. Every ragged breath she took and the fierce, white-knuckled grip of her clenched fists served as a silent vow that she would make him pay for every single ounce of this humiliation.
