Chapter 100 - ANSWERS

Hello everyone,

After reading a few comments from readers, I realized that some of you might be a little confused about what exactly happened in the previous arc. So I decided to answer a few common questions here.

Let's begin.

First Question: Did Sagittarius really control Itachi?

The answer is both yes and no.

Yes, because Sagittarius did indeed control Itachi to some extent. But also no, because Itachi himself never resisted that control.

As mentioned in the previous chapter, the situation can be compared to Sasuke trying to place Itachi under a genjutsu. Normally, if Itachi resists even slightly, Sasuke's genjutsu would instantly break apart. However, if Itachi willingly allows it and does not resist, then the genjutsu succeeds.

The same principle applies here.

After witnessing the Pure Land and seeing the countless souls within it, Itachi wanted to take advantage of the situation and obtain some of those souls from the Sage of Six Paths. Because of that, he willingly allowed Sagittarius to influence him and carried out this entire play.

Second Question: Why did Itachi help Sagittarius and fight against Yggdrasil? Wasn't that a betrayal?

The answer is no — Itachi never betrayed anyone.

Both Yggdrasil and Sagittarius are ultimately Itachi's weapons.

As for why he chose to side with Sagittarius during the fight instead of directly crushing it, there are a few reasons.

First, Sagittarius was already naturally weaker than Yggdrasil. If Itachi himself had fought seriously against Sagittarius, the battle would have become completely one-sided.

Second, after witnessing the clash between Yggdrasil and Sagittarius, Itachi genuinely became excited.

In a very short amount of time, his power had risen from Peak Kage level all the way to Six Paths level. Such an overwhelming increase in strength naturally created a desire within him to test his abilities, vent his accumulated emotions, and experience a true battle at full power.

And as things currently stand, opponents capable of matching Itachi are extremely rare.

Aside from beings like Yggdrasil, Kaguya, and perhaps Isshiki, there are barely any enemies left in the ninja world who can truly challenge him. And fighting those kinds of beings casually is not exactly easy either.

So when an opportunity appeared where he could fight seriously against Yggdrasil, Itachi simply chose to enjoy the battle to its fullest.

As for the third question… is there even a third question?

If there is, feel free to ask, and I'll try my best to answer it.
