Feeling the wonderful changes in his body and soul, Itachi let out a classic villainous laugh. It was a good thing that Itachi was sitting alone on the moon, or else if anyone else saw the Demon God Itachi laughing by himself... they might be scared to death.
As for why Itachi was so happy... well, the Quincy Bloodline didn't increase his strength by much. If it had been 1,000,000 before, then it was merely 1,000,100 now. What it had done was solve a major weakness that Itachi, or everyone in the Naruto World, had, including the Ōtsutsuki.
The weakness of losing the body... Without a body, Itachi's strength would be drastically reduced to less than 10%. Others might not even be able to display 0.001% of their strength, except for Hagoromo, who had the Pure Land as his source of energy.
But now, with the Quincy Bloodline, both his body and soul had transformed, allowing his soul to act with much greater strength, even displaying up to 50% of his true power without a physical body. He could also fight soul battles much more effectively, making this a trump card against those without soul battle capabilities.
He also gained control over Spirit Particles (Reishi). Although Spirit Particles did not exist in the Naruto world, he could use White House to convert chakra and natural energy into Reishi.
Spiritual Energy (Reiryoku) also had an advantage over normal chakra, as it could directly attack the soul, whereas chakra generally required Truth-Seeking Orbs or other specialized jutsu to affect a person's soul.
Previously, he had obtained Zanpakutō and could even use Shikai and Bankai, but he did not possess Reiryoku. The Zanpakutō was powered by his chakra instead. Now, however, he had awakened an entirely new source of energy: Reiryoku ( Spiritual Energy )
