Chapter 302 - Chapter 1: Return

There must always be something,

To make these weak yet arrogant humans understand.

They... are no longer the Masters of the World... A pleasant and wonderful adventure, an interesting journey.

She went alone but returned with three distinct figures—Yuno Gasai wasn't surprised by this; she had long been prepared for all sorts of strange creatures to appear around Mori Tsukisa.

However, three who look like humans...?

The next morning, the tiny girl, having finished washing up, sat obediently in her chair and finished the 'Welcome Back Set' prepared by Yuno Gasai—heart-shaped fried eggs, bacon, and boiled milk. She wiped her mouth, took the pajama-clad Yuno's hand, opened the door, and stepped into the floor-length mirror.

"Besides Imhotep, Anck-Su-Namun, and Nagini, I also brought back something su—per powerful!" Like a Child showing off a new toy, Mori Tsukisa skipped along the quiet path. At the main entrance of the Wabi-Sabi Courtyard, several Attendants were waiting quietly.

Leading them was Imhotep.

Seeing the girl's bells ring, he took a step forward and bowed: "Lady Witch, welcome back."

"Master, have you had breakfast?" Nagini stood on the left, with Arrietty on her shoulder waving a small hand at Yuno Gasai; Anck-Su-Namun, wearing a Japanese kimono and awkwardly tugging at the collar, bowed along with her lover.

"Good morning!" The girl waved and pulled Yuno forward to introduce her. Since they had returned in such a hurry last night, she had arranged for them to rest immediately: "This is Yuno Gasai! My sister!"

Imhotep looked at Mori Tsukisa's black hair and delicate features, then at Yuno Gasai—he nodded understandingly: "Hello, Miss Yuno. I am Imhotep, Lady Witch's new Attendant."

Clearly, in front of Yuno Gasai, the new Attendant didn't seem to have much desire to express himself; a perfunctory nod was his limit.

Nagini was the same.

"I am Master's maid."

After she spoke, Yuno squeezed her fingers behind her back and smiled: "Oh... is that so? You mean you're going to live... together with Tsukisa?"

"Yes, Miss Yuno. It is perfectly normal for a maid and Master to live under the same roof." Nagini stepped aside, inviting the two into the courtyard: "If Master needs it, I can also take care of you—"

"You'll need to tell me your preferences and things to note in your daily life."

"I didn't agree to that, Nagini." Yuno Gasai took Mori Tsukisa's hand, her smile deepening: "Our home doesn't seem to have room for you."

—True, a duplex apartment of several hundred square meters indeed had no room for a 'tiny' maid.

However, mentioning the residence, a chance glimpse upon returning last night had given Imhotep some bad feelings. He looked at the distracted Mori Tsukisa and said with a frown: "Lady Witch..."

"Have you committed a serious crime?"

"?"

"The place where you live isn't even as spacious as the dark cells for our criminals." This High Priest from three thousand years ago had clearly misunderstood something, or rather, he knew but was still dissatisfied: "Though it was just a brief glance, the place is truly too cramped. I'm not sure if everyone in this era lives in such narrow spaces—"

Mori Tsukisa tapped her chin and thought for a moment: "Oh... I guess? Most people are like that. Land is very expensive; this isn't your time anymore."

"Everyone?"

Yuno Gasai chimed in: "No, if it's 'Royalty,' the living area would be very large."

A strand of light pink hair brushed past her cheek: Yuno Gasai seemed to see a certain look flash through the eyes of these strange Attendants... If she wasn't mistaken... was that greed?

Arrietty: Let's seize it!

Nagini: Isn't that... bad?

Arrietty: You're clearly tempted.

Anck-Su-Namun: When are we going out shopping?

As for why Imhotep wasn't in the eye-contact conference, unfortunately—this currently only male (the male Little Sprite doesn't count) was not allowed to join the private chat group of these girls.

And Mr. High Priest clearly had more pressing matters of his own to attend to (making work for himself).

Leading Mori Tsukisa and Yuno Gasai along a winding path, he looked very much like a Master who had lived there for years: "Your 'Fang,' Miss Silver Knight, has already told us some basic rules of modern society, especially the internet—" He looked at Arrietty, "I will lead Nagini and Anck-Su-Namun to figure it out as soon as possible."

Mori Tsukisa nodded, glad to see someone among her Attendants who could step up in such matters: Arrietty didn't care about anyone except leading her Little Sprites and protecting her; Nagini was even simpler, she only cared about her 'Master'—which was her.

So for the foreseeable future, she indeed needed an Attendant who could step up.

Imhotep was very suitable.

Stepping into the Wabi-Sabi Courtyard, the first thing heard was still the continuous clacking of the shishi-odoshi and the gurgling sound of flowing water. In the quiet environment, some gold and jewelry that hadn't been moved yet seemed out of place.

"Not done yet?"

Arrietty complained while riding on Mori Tsukisa's shoulder: "You have no idea how much there is! Your Majesty, since becoming an Attendant, this dead bald guy's magic hasn't been as powerful as it was in the other World—it all depends on me and the little ones to move it bit by bit!"

The young girl rubbed the dissatisfied Little Sprite with her fingertip, her face flushed: "Alright... there's nothing that can be done about it. Next time, I'll find some Attendants with great strength..."

"By the way, how much money do we actually have?"

When talking about money, the eyes of the two fools, one big and one small, sparkled with golden light: "If the Imperial Palace had a price... a small portion of what we have would be enough to buy several!"

"Just like the monsters in games..."

"As long as it has a health bar..."

Nagini watched the tempted Mori Tsukisa with concern from the side, quietly tugging at her Master's sleeve.

Yuno Gasai glanced at her.

"Eh..." After thinking for a moment, Mori Tsukisa looked at Imhotep, who had been waiting for a long time: "I really have no requirements for a place to live. As long as 'land' exists, even if I stay in a capsule hotel, I can still possess vast territories. Reality doesn't necessarily have to be used for living for me."

Nagini, unusually, didn't quite agree.

"Those are two different things, Master." Under Yuno Gasai's sharp gaze, the woman's grip on Mori Tsukisa's sleeve tightened: "Your Attendants will increase in number; they can't all stay in the Wabi-Sabi Courtyard. Besides, sitting on countless treasures, you don't need to care about such minor expenses."

Mori Tsukisa didn't want to deal with these troublesome matters. Since Nagini was also advising her, she just let Imhotep handle it—the girl had no idea that her Attendants each had their own thoughts: Imhotep wanted to expand the living area so that he, who was good at coordinating affairs, would have a place to use his skills; as for Nagini... as a fellow Attendant, she naturally stood on Imhotep's side.

Moreover, after Yuno Gasai said 'there's no room for you,' this snake lady had been staring at the light-haired girl with cold pupils, bit by bit enticing her Master.

As expected, Mori Tsukisa agreed.

Nagini chuckled silently, giving Yuno Gasai a meaningful look.

The other party also grinned, showing a kind smile...
