Chapter 67 - Chapter 66

In the deepest part of Theocracy's Holy Cathedral.

Lock, with his hands behind his head, looked with interest at the windows along the corridor, which were enchanted with 'Enduring Light'. Even so, the entire interior of the building still felt a bit dim.

"Baron Lock, I hope you understand that convincing the High Priest and the other members of the Priest Council is a very difficult task. Please ensure her safety, because she is the most important cornerstone of our Theocracy." Raymond walked ahead of Lock, couldn't help but turn his head back again, and exhorted him.

"Alright, alright, I know." Lock looked nonchalant. Although the person he was about to meet was indeed extraordinary, there was still a sufficiently large gap compared to a max-level powerhouse. "After witnessing that vampire, don't you people of Theocracy have any sense of crisis? Don't be foolish, if they attack your Theocracy, this divine being alone cannot protect your entire country, and she herself might not even be able to protect herself."

"I don't want to argue about things that cannot be judged." Raymond turned his head back and stopped talking, only to stop his steps. The two had already arrived at the entrance of a closed temple. "We're here. The rest of the matters need you to speak for yourself, after all, even the High Priest cannot easily command this one."

"Is the status of a divine being so high in Theocracy?"

"Yes."

"Interesting." Lock walked into the darkness, his light footsteps echoing in the corridor.

The deep regions of Theocracy were where the divine artifacts left behind by the Six Gods, whom Theocracy worshipped, were stored. Usually, very few people can come here.

Clack, clack, clack!

The sound of plastic rotating and colliding came from the darkness. A third-order Rubik's Cube was spinning back and forth in a pair of slender hands, but it basically stayed on one side of the same color.

As Lock arrived, the person who was concentrating on spinning the cube stopped her movements and tilted her head slightly to look at him.

It was a girl with black and white hair and eyes, looking about ten years old. A huge scythe, taller than her by two heads and somewhat resembling a halberd, rested on her shoulder.

She was Theocracy's strongest combat force — Zesshi Zetsumei!

She possessed the bloodline power of one of the Players who had once crossed into this world, the Six Gods, and the Eight Greed Kings, making her a hybrid of Players.

Although her mother did not willingly give birth to her, Zesshi Zetsumei did not feel her mother's love when she was young, only brutal Spartan training. She was filled with hatred for her birth mother, and it did not dissipate even after her mother's death.

But for Theocracy, which had raised her, Zesshi Zetsumei still cared deeply. So for over a hundred years, she had stayed here, guarding the divine artifacts left by the Six Gods, rarely appearing in the outside world. Now, besides a few individuals, no one in Theocracy knew of her existence.

"Who are you?"

Zesshi Zetsumei asked in a calm tone, her gaze on Lock unusually composed.

"Lock Kote Albert, a collaborator of Theocracy."

Zesshi Zetsumei's eyebrow slightly raised as she scrutinized the man before her, saying, "Oh? You are the Baron of the Kingdom who could kill six members of the Black Scripture?"

"If there isn't a second Baron, then that would be me," Lock said playfully.

"So, what are you doing here?"

The fact that the other party could appear here clearly had the approval of Theocracy's high-ranking officials. Although they were collaborators, this was a highly classified location of Theocracy, not a place that the so-called 'collaborators' could just enter.

Zesshi Zetsumei was very curious as to what reason Theocracy had for allowing such an outsider to enter here.

"How much do you know about Ainz Ooal Gown?" Lock did not directly answer her question but instead asked back.

Zesshi Zetsumei's expression remained calm and composed, without any fluctuations.

"I heard it's a suddenly appearing underground demonic lair, filled with various powerful monsters, even some capable of destroying the entire Black Scripture."

Lock nodded and said, "That's right, it's that place. Now the monsters from this underground demonic lair have come out. They seem to be planning to target me."

Zesshi Zetsumei looked at Lock, revealing a contemptuous smile.

"So you've come for help?"

Lock shook his head and said, "Although I've come for aid, to be serious, you don't even have the qualifications to save me."

"To give you a sufficient understanding of Ainz Ooal Gown, and at least not be as arrogant as you are now, I decided to allow you to witness the true extent of the world's peak power."

"I hope you don't misunderstand this point."

Upon hearing Lock's words, Zesshi Zetsumei couldn't help but curl her lips slightly, putting away the Rubik's Cube in her hand.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to witness your so-called peak power right now."

Zesshi Zetsumei held the huge scythe in her hand, her heterochromatic eyes fixed on him, looking eager to try.

Lock extended a finger and beckoned slightly, a faint smile on his face, and said, "Then come."

Zesshi Zetsumei immediately grinned, and the blade of the Death God's Scythe flashed a bright light in the dark hallway.

Gale Super Dash!

Possibility Super Perception!

Ability Super Boost!

Defense Super Reinforcement!

Super Slash!

She unleashed five Super Martial Arts in a row. Zesshi Zetsumei's speed reached its limit, and the Death God's Scythe slashed towards Lock's neck.

Clang!

The blade stopped in front of Lock.

Zesshi Zetsumei looked up and saw a silver-white armored warrior…
